Cure that Vanilla Ice Cream craving!

Cottage Cheese "Ice Cream"

It sounds gross, but if you mix some vanilla and equal with cottage cheese, it seriously tastes like ice cream.

I also take the above, mix in some fresh strawberries or blueberries, and occaisionally top it with some Kashi Go-Lean cereal. It is one of my favorite breakfasts, although I can honestly say I have eaten it for lunch or dinner sometimes as well.

I just tried this, and it really was good. I used 1/2 c. fat-free cottage cheese, about 1/4 tsp. real vanilla extract, and 2 tbsp. Splenda.
 
Thanks for the recipe Angelkae! To me, it actually sounds good. I'll give it a try. I find it so hard to find recipes that are healthy AND taste good.
 
Yeah thanks, Angel. You just had to mention vanilla ice cream ... my WEAK spot :( . Now I have to go raid my freezer ..... Seriously though that does sound decent. I'll have to give it a shot :) Vanilla ice cream is still a weak spot though :eek:

I'm pretty creative when it comes to finding a no-fat no-sugar no -salt low carb version of just about everything..but that does not sound delicious!..
I do do a version similar with 2 minute microwaved egg whites and no fat milk though and sometimes I splash out and throw in some nesquick .. it 's like souffle ..but it's not ..and if you have it cold or with milk, it's kind of like coco pops without the popping so much ..it's good.
If all that fails though..just quietly.. thats why they invented nofat ICEcream. really . If you're looking after yourself other wise and have it with a spoon of yoghurt or some fruit or even wiith milo or quick on it... you'll get away with it. It's what else you eat that makes a difference.
