I started my plan on Tues. May 15th.

I have done great thus far!!

The only struggles I have had was yesterday.

My husband, our son, & I went to see Shrek 3 (great movie btw). So you know where I am going with this!
They wanted to stop at chick-fik-a to eat.......I thought to myself I CAN DO THIS!!! So, we when in and I ordered the Chargrilled Chicken Garden Salad with Light italian dressing. I didnt use the whole packet of dressing and I left off the croutons. I got ice water to drink.
The salad was really good and I was full way before I thought I would be. I couldnt even finish it. And I tell you, I was a ranch dressing girl. I used to SMOTHER it on salads, pizza, any kind of potato, & chicken. I just knew that salad would taste like crap without ranch on it. I was very proud of myself after leaving chic-fil-a:)

Now...........on to the movies....

We had already bought our tickets in advance so we just went right in and my son went straight to the refreshment stand. Of course the smell of the nice, flavorful popcorn hit my senses right away. I WANTED THAT MOVIE BUTTER POPCORN BAD!!!!!! I got my son a small popcorn with a water to drink. My husband got some skittles & some Goobers and a xtra large coke. I got a LARGE water. I enjoyed the movie. But the whole time I kept thinking to myself "I want that popcorn"! :drooling: But I didnt give in!!! I fought it with all my might not to give into temptation and I WON!!!! YES!!!!!!

That's the hardest thing I have had to do so far. And I leave this lesson with a bit of advice to anyone who is trying to lose weight and in the same situation. Keep asking yourself this.....Is it going to taste as good as thin feels?? I kept that phrase in my head the whole time (its from my weight loss clinic). It got me through!!

I couldnt be prouder of myself. That is the first time ever that I have went into a movie theater and not eaten a bucket full of extra butter popcorn and sucked down a xtra large coke!

When I got home I got on the net for a bit to read some of the posts on here. After that, I went and done my brisk walking for the day.

I can't wait until Tuesday when I get to go weigh:) :jump:
 
You should be very proud of yourself for not giving in. When I was reading it, I was thinking that you might give in, but I'm so glad you didn't. You've gone this far, don't give up now :)

Sunday was a great day. I easily stuck with my plan and had tons of energy!!

Today is going real well also:)

Tomorrow will be my first weigh in:) So I am REALLY excited about that:)
 
I don't even know you, but I'm proud of you, too!!! I know exactly how it feels to want to eat something sooooo much. Just keep it up!

Thanks for posting in my diary! DDR is Dance, Dance Revolution. It's a video game where you have a dance pad and you dance to the game. It's sooo much fun and a great way to get some exercise in!
 
Sorry, I didnt post on Tuesday, been real busy!

But I did go weigh in and I had lost 6lbs!! YAY!! 243 to 237! Yay!

Thanks Donia!! I need to get me one of those dance thingys! I live in the south and sometimes its just too hot to get out and walk. I would LOVE to have a treadmill also! Maybe in a month or so I can get one:)
