hey, for deads go for a few sets of the same weight, it's easy to screw yourself going heavy. Once you are used to it you cab start adding weight.

Did you do an over under grip? one hand over the bar and the other under, helps a lot. Avoid straps for now to build that grip.

i'm doing sumo group, was actually thinking of using gloves soon but now i wont.
 
maybe try 165 for sets of 5, you should have that easy, bump up 5lbs every day you do deads until it feel brutal then go by feel. It may feel easy but you have time and if you are after it the time goes by fast and you will be in big weights. Like the 225 you are looking for by Dec
 
i'm just going to quick reply this cause i got to run to class. i did this on sunday when i was feeling a little sick, it just made me worse, i shouldn't have. i'm feeling pretty good today, i may just run

sunday:

pullups:
80 x 12
70 x 12
70 x 10

pulldowns:
dont remember ( sorry ) did 3 sets tho

cardio:

30 minutes elliptical 405 calories burned
 
Hey Cgrame, is the first number the weight of the assistance or added weight?

god typhon i wish that was added weight.

today i ran for another 30 min on the elliptical, burned 398 calories.

i hate not doing weights but i hate being sick even more. i think i may have to step my game up to 35 minutes on the elliptical because it's already getting a little easy. (maybe it's cause i didnt lift first =p)

I've got to lay off the running and squats...my knees are feeling real bad.....I'll adjust though....the BB complex and the rower, bike, ellip

Like Johnny said, You're doing great! Just keep your head about ya, if you need some time, take it or you will make things worse. Last thing you want to do is workout and get hurt, or even really sick.

lol thanks a lot guys but yeah dont worry im only doing elliptical, i heard cardio was ok if you feel sick.

i can tell its just change of weather sickness too because i dont really feel sick. my body is just off. monday i will start weight training again too.

i also met this kid today in my graphic design class who goes to a cross fit gym near me. there are trainers there to show him what to do (is that weird?) anyways he said he does olympic lifts like deads and cleans. after class i asked him if he could show me next week, he's cool with it. so finally ill be able to tell if i'm doing my weights correctly.

30 minutes elliptical today 421 calories burned.

If you start to feel it in your chest, I'd suggest you take a a break cause cardio is also bad :(

Just be aware of how you are feeling :)
 
going to start the weights tmrw.

i wanted to share this with you guys. my friend uploaded this picture of me on fb from the other night. and i'm starting to think my back is really weird looking.
should i see my doctor about this? should i maybe do supermans like solo said? anyone have any experience with this?
 
I think what wondering about the curvature of your spine isn't a big priority when you have a bangin chick bent over the couch like that.


Serious answer: Foam roll, build a strong back with minimal spinal loading (if your back looks like that when not hunched over). So pullups, rows, back extensions.
