Was just curious, is it normal for someone who is really out of shape, doesn't eat right (Trying to start) and doesn't get much exercise, to feel like they're about to throw up after 10min. on the cross trainer and burning 111 calories? I had just gotten done doing some minor chest exercises (chest press with dumbells, etc.) and after about 5min., jumped on the eliptical to do some cross training and after about 10min., my stomach felt horrible. So I got off and cycled for about 10-15min. I was sweating like CRAZY already (which isn't normal for me, but then again I hear the eliptical really gives you a cardio workout) and trying to keep hydrated and all, but I could only do about 10-15min. on the cycle before I had to stop altogether and call it a night.....
So is this normal? and, is it ok to keep doing smaller workouts like this as I build myself up? I'm trying to start eating right (watching my calorie intake throughout the day so that I can monitor how much I'm taking in versus how much I'm burning during the workout) and going to start working out as often as I can (but being safe about it). And also, how do you figure out around how many calories you may burn with weight training?? I don't lift anything heavy at all as I am just back in and taking it easy at first to build up....Thanks everyone!
