cracking noise from left shoulder

it's weird but i don't know what's happening

it almost happens on a regular basis when i worked out last semester, and it doesn't hurt when it happens.

at some point when i'm doing shoulder presses or bench presses my left shoulder sorta gets "locked" in such a way that i can't move it in a certain direction, i'd have to stop what i'm doing to rotate my shoulder in a certain way so that it makes a knuckle-lish kind of sound so that it gets back to normal. do you guys know what this is?

i dunno, sounds like a rotator cuff problem. You should probably go to a doctor and find out if you have a torn labrum. If you do, then overhead lifts are the worst thing you can do. I would avoid any mil. press in the meantime. You could end up doing more damage that may eventually require surgery. Hope its nothing serious.
