Countdown to Mrs Sunflower!

*hangs head in shame*

Hello, folks. It's me, again! Not going to bore you, or me, by repeating my story for the thousandth time on here--Basically, am still a chunky monkey, still swimming 4 times a week (but eating/drinking too much) except this time around, I'm engaged!

The Yank finally popped the question on Valentines Day (I know..Puke..I could have killed him if I wasn't so busy kissing his stupid face off) in Amsterdam and I have lost literally NOTHING since then, despite panicked peeks into Wedding Dress shops and scuttling quickly away in fear. I've kept up with the good habit of swimming a good amount of times a week.

So, why now, you cryyyyy. I've just got back from a 4 day bender in Rome with my Mum and Sister. I drank so much wine, ate nothing but pizza and pasta, walked 30,000 steps a day and have come home a WRECK. I could barely keep up with them both and the heat was unbearable because of my chunk. I refuse to get married like this. I REFUSE! Also, my phone was stolen in a fucking ICE CREAM SHOP. Because I was too busy stuffing my face to notice being pickpocketed. Like, seriously. The shame. So I'm sat here, burnt to fuck because I keep forgetting I'm as pale as the moon and should never be exposed to daylight, feeling like a giant whale because I've not been to the loo in 4 days because I've eaten NOTHING but pizza and drank nothing but wine, with no phone, no food in the house and staring down the barrel of my Wedding, as overweight and as unhappy with myself as I am now.

And so it begins. I have from now until the 24th of May off of work now as I'm having my bathroom fitted. This is the perfect time to get shit kick started. I've been a huge flake on this forum and it's not like me to not do something I set out to do--I refuse to be that person anymore. I will log my food and my exercise, get on here as much as humanly possible and start taking some responsibility for myself.

Hope to catch up with all my old friends soon xo

Wow! I'm getting fit for a wedding as well, my brothers, not my own and for my trip to Italy in september! (sorry, it just made me laugh that two of the reasons I started on here was in your post was all lol).

Anyway, just popped in to say Good Luck! My Fitness Pal is awesome for keeping your food and exercise recorded if you need something to do that. I'm thinking of taking up swimming myself but am way to self conscious for it at the moment.

Out of curosity, when is the big day? Do you have a few months or a year?

HANA! The forum is a sad place when you're away. Congrats on the engagement!!!! I'm with you on the V-Day thing..... Sometimes I think that's when I'll get engaged because he'll assume I'm so very much NOT expecting it then. Anyway, glad to have you back!

Paladin--Hello my lovely! Will have to hunt for your diary! Where in Italy are you going? I just did Rome & we are doing Almalfi Coast for the honeymoon! I am getting married on 15th August 2016 so have AGES but need a few months for dress fittings, etc, so need to lose all my weight within a year really!! I love my Fitness Pal, as soon as I get a new phone I'll be using it again :D thanks for stopping by my chick xo

Oaks, my love! I have missed your little acorn picture and your lovely posts. Oh lord, I was so not expecting it. It was so cringe. Thank baby jebus we had not been into any smoking cafes yet--Not sure I could handle being high and proposed to on Valentines Day at the same time. Least it was memorable....... *puke* Thanks chicken--Glad to be back. Will be getting through diaries soon

I'm heading to Rome, Pompeii and Sciliy. I intend to clain the volcano as much as I can! I will be bringing a flag and there will be pictures lol. My first holiday with my boyfriend, so should be fun!

You have ages to go! But it's good your getting an early start. My brothers wedding was sprung on me just over 4 weeks ago. I have until August this year to fit into a nice dress for it. sigh, and italy is in september. so, fun fun! lol.

Welcome back SF!

Congrats on your engagement. Un-congrats on your stolen phone.

It sounds like you're getting the exercise in and that should make things much easier as it's only one area that needs fixing. Good luck and don't be a stranger!

Welcome back and congratulations! Nothing like a wedding to kick your ass into gear to lose weight.

Hi Han. Congratulations on being engaged sweetie! :beating: Isn't Rome wonderful (except for having your phone stolen :( ) Glad you're still into swimming. You'll get back into it Han. No need to hang your head in shame. That is so_not_you. Happy having you back :D xoxo Cate

I think Mr.Vee's right. Since you're exercising regularly, it seems like you've already got the hard part down. Congratulations on your engagement!

Congratulations Sunflower, how freakin exciting!!! And welcome back, I've also been incredibly slack with the forum.

Paladin! You can do it lovely, August this year is still plenty of time away :D Hope you have a fab time my dear.

MrVee! Yes, the swimming has certainly made me feel a lot trimmer. I've much more toned than I was, I've lost inches even if I've not lost any weight! I'm doing interval training and have resistance gloves so I'm taking it very seriously! Am hoping it will help speed up the weight loss.

Kaplooie--Hello! Thanks for posting and for your support *hugs*

Cate! I've missed you. Hope all is okay with you--You're such a constant here, a real inspiration! Glad I will always have you guys here to cheer me on and pick me up!

Kstadelh--Thank you :) I love swimming, just a shame it makes you SO hungry afterwards--need to start preparing my food better I think..

Luz! Hello my sweet--thank you so much :D I'm going to be a marrrrrried bean. Very excting.

--------------------------

Hellllllo sexpots, I am posting with a whole buttloads of positivenessness this afternoon. I got up at 9, resisted the cookies my friend brought over to have with our coffee (herbal tea for meeee), then went to see a second friend & we weighed in. Currently 213lbs. I've only put on 1lb on my Rome holiday though, which is pretty awesome. And then she wanted to go for lunch but I went to the pool instead :D I could only do 35 mins as a class was about to start and the instructor is too gorgeous to be allowed to walk this planet & I didn't fancy bouncing around showing him my wobbly bits. But I did a really speedy workout and it was at very high intensity. I wore my gloves and listened to my music and really feeling it now!

Plan for today is to clean now, landlord coming at 17;00 as we are having builders in to work on our bathroom for the next THREE WEEEEEEKS and need to give him some keys. Good encouragement to go to the pool though, only place I'll be showering for the next while! Then I'm doing 5% fat lean mince burgers (home-made) without the bun, jacket potatoes and salad for dinner then hopefully an early night. I have an assessment for a social work degree tomorrow which I need to be awake for quite early!

Breakfast: skipped
Lunch: krispbread x 4 (200) low-fat cream cheese, turkey ham (75) hula-hoops (71) carrot sticks (0)
Dinner: jacket potato (238) lean mince burger (203) bacon without fat (50) light cheese slice (50)
Snacks: string cheese (64) wine x 2 (500) popcorn (195)

Total: 1646
Exercise: 35 min interval training in the pool.

All the better for having you back in here sweetie. LOVE your sense of humour! "Carrot sticks (0)" :smilielol5: xoxo

googling jacket potato. I bought a swim suit last year thinking I was going to start going to the community pool and lap swimming. Still has its tags on it. I might be inspired by you to go and give it a try.

Jacket potatoes are like baked potatoes I think? I love them so much--Wrap them in tinfoil with some frylight, salt, a tiny bit of butter and lots of pepper and leave them to bake for like 90 mins & they are so crispy on the outside and fluffy and NOM in the middle. Not overly healthy but minus the butter they are pretty good!!

Kaplooie--You should totally start swimming. I thought I wouldn't be able to bare being in a costume around the general horrible public but I've totally taken to it like a lardy mermaid. In the water I feel so light and strong and toned. It's been great to see the change in my body--I feel strong! And I'm gonna get rippppppped doing it.

Hiiii Little John & Q--an abundance of lovely men in my thread..What a lovely thing ;)

Today has been pretty good so far--I got up early as shit and went to this social work assessment today which was awkward as anything and I felt too weird to eat anything until I finished at 4pm. Then I knew I'd want to go home and eat even more so I went to the pool and did 30 mins there and by the time I got home and cleaned up after one of my poorly cats (oh dear god..he has such a bad bum today :(((() it's now ready for dinner and a chill out!

I've replaced my vino with a sparkling fruit water and gin tonight--We'll see if it fills the hole. I went the whole of January "dry" and lost a bit of weight but started drinking quite heavily again almost as soon as the month was finished. Need to work on that as it is huge amounts of empty calories..

I'm making a Slimming World dish tonight..Home-made pizzas made on square wraps. They are literally better than normal pizza and make my mouth go all nommy just thinking about them. The base is only 187 calories. Google Warburtons Square Wrap pizzas and prepare to be amazed.

Will get round some diaries tomorrow, I promise!!

Breakfast: skipped
Lunch: hula hoops (71) string cheese (64) special K bar (81)
Dinner: home-made pizza (187) tomato base, veggies and pepperoni (176) cheese (150) slimming world home-made chips (390)
Snacks: graze box, seeds and coconut (191) wine x 1 (250)

Total:1560
Exercise: 30 mins swimming

:blush5: I just realised your carrot sticks(0) was carrot sticks no points or no calories, rather than no actual carrot sticks :blush5:

Hahahaha, oh Cate. I love carrot sticks! Had them with dinner last night too--Stops me from reaching for the crisps!

Today will be a gooooood day, I hope. I feel good about my last two days of calories. I was initially going to aim for 1200 a day but with my exercise I'm thinking that between 1400-1700 will do me fine? What do you guys think? I'm 5'10, walk on average 10,000 steps a day with a moderately active job and swim 4 times a week. Do those calories sound okay?

I got up at the asscrack of dawn to hide my cats from my landlord, clean the house and force the Yank to take a healthy lunch to work instead of eating noodle pots all day. I'm waiting for my new phone to be delivered within the hour then weighing in at a friends and going for another swim. Need to kick some butt today at the pool as yesterday I felt a bit lackluster. Not sure about food today..I've not had breakfast. Not sure how people face food so early in the day. All my calories are usually after 2pm! Not great.. Dinner will be slimming world pizza's again because I have all the ingredients and we are trying to save money and eat what we have. I didn't have any gin in the end last night but only had ONE glass of wine, which I thought was pretty fucking good considering I'm usually having 2/3/4 glasses a night. An early night helped distract me.

Breakfast: skipped
Lunch: ravioli small tin (149)
Dinner: slimming world pizza with smoked sausage and sweetcorn (500) hula hoops (61) wine x 4 (1000)
Snacks: slimming world chips (280)

Total: 1990
Exercise: 40 mins swimming, medium intensity
