Couch POTATO to "MARATHON" HONEY! :)

You're awesome, Alta xxxx
Awww...thank you!!! You are the best too!!! ....We are mirror reflections of people. Meaning that if you see something wonderful in someone else, it's only because you see that same sense of Wonderful within yourself!!! :)

.....The greatness in you is OOZING OUT!!! ....Have a great day, you Sunny Sunflower!!!!

*grins* You do make me smile, miss. Your posts brighten up everyones threads! Very proud of you for how well you've done and are still doing <3

Couldn't MOVE yesterday, sit, walk, or nada....so i took the day off!!!!!....Today!...still couldn't move, but I jumped on the bicycle and did 40 mins with little 5lb weights!! NICE!!!.....5 days of workout this week so FAR!!!...Planning to go for a HILL run tomorrow!....Start training. Even if my legs are NOODLES and hurt like hell...even my arms hurt like hell!

I'm enjoying your motivational phrases. Maybe I should try something like that too. Good luck with the half and full marathons. Thanks also for the motivational words in my diary.

Hey Alta! Just wanted to let you know I was thinking of you today. My training been's rough with my shin splints coming back and gaining some weight and I've been so negative ... which is totally not me. Constantly thinking damn, I used to run 10 miles, now I can't even make it 3. I got to lose X pounds JUST to get back to myself.

So yesterday morning I said "Fuck that. You are awesome, even if you have to do 5 run/ 1 walk. Just embrace it and love." I was totally doing positive affrimations and thinking of you my whole run. All 3 miles in the morning and 4 miles at night.

Thanks!

Hey Man!! ...That really means a lot!!!...Running is ALL mental. Don't beat yourself up, and YOU see...you see what you can do!!?!..RUN 7 miles in a day!!!

....that's Fantastic!! You are Fantastic!! An athlete. And a runner. A runner begins in the MIND!...and a runner finishes in the mind!

...I completely know how it is to be sidetracked by injuries. All I recommend is DO YOUR AFFIRMATIONS....remind yourself.. "Thank you for MY HEALING!"..over and over.....stretch, and listen to your body...BUT "PUSH THROUGH IT!" You CAN DO IT!...&...KNOW IT!....You'll be able to go further than ever! (and of course massage yourself..and Bengay!)...remember that the Laws of Association for the mind rely on a 21 base repetition. So remind yourself OVER and OVER "Thank you for my healing while you run...:

1) Because you are accepting Gratitude in your life AT THIS MOMENT
2) Because you are engraving in your subconscious mind that YOU ARE HEALED
3) And if you are healed YOU CAN DO THIS!
4) And if you CAN do this...YOU CAN FINISH THIS!!!
5) And if you CAN FINISH this....YOU CAN DO ANYTHING!

....that's the truth. You will get to your half marathon and to your Marathon!....I know it! I love your quote too!!...There are sooooooo many that I love! ...Be your OWN cheerleader!!!....If not you!?!?! Whooooo?!?!! :)

Did another 25 min. Jillian Michaels 30 day Shred ass kick today. That's 6 days of working out this week. Level 1 with 5lb weights and kept it going for another 5 mins to total the 25 mins. Woohooo!!! ...it got much easier today! Also, did 15 mins on the treadmill with 5lb weights, and sprint intervals.& 200 situps. Varied! Woohoo!!!

I realized that, since I know I can run distance, the thing for me to do, would be work on my SPEED~!!....this is something that I didn't do very much until the end of my training for my First marathon last October. I finished in 5 hours and 59 mins....That's great!...But I think I can do better.

...Instead of going for a long hill run this afternoon, I did interval sprints. I think I can build the speed faster than running outside, RIGHT NOW, because I am partnerless. And partners are used to KEEP PACE. They inspire you and motivate you, and sometimes keep you back as well. The treadmill you can alter the speed and pretend that you can not stop it!...As fast as the machine will go. RUNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!

...For me, yes, I could use a partner. But all the same. I did it bymyself last time, and I can this time too! :)

I am SORE!!

....my bf is getting self conscious too, and telling me "I need to get back on my 3 miles a day again!....." hahaha...it's cute! He jumped on the treadmill and walked for 5 mins with 5lb weights AFTER he ate a popsicle ice cream and even busted a little sweat. hahaha.....he was almost scarred to walk, and said "Oh my stomach is going to hurt"....and I said "HA!!! You sound like your enormously huge friend who tells you that "Oh no, the doctor said that it's bad for me to walk!"...YEAAAAAAAA....RIGHT!!!!!!...After I see these 550lb people on the Biggest Loser show WORK THIER ASS off right after eating, and do it over and over and over. Walking shouldn't scare a person. Jillian Michaels SHOULD scare a person! haha!! (she scarres me....she's gonna scare me into change!)

...I started laughing...and I said.."Wow!! Listen to yourself!"...hahah...then he started laughing at himself, and whipped off his shirt, and jumped on the treadmill after laughing at his own comment.!!!....SUPER FUNNY!!!...I also told him, when I saw him ...walking with the dumbells without punching in the air anymore,...that "Jillian says....That when PAIN sets in and you feel like you can't go No MORE..then that's when CHANGE is on the FOREFRONT,..and that's when YOU PUSH THROUGH IT!...FINISH STRONG!".....haha...he started laughing and said..."That's not the only place I've heard that comment."...and I said..."Well, then FU^cK*n....DO IT!!! hhahahaha!!!"...and he laughed...and did!

...hahaha..SMASH THOSE POUNDS!!!! Summer 2010~!!!! "What we are today is a result of our PAST decisions, I tell myself,...not of WHERE WE ARE GOING...so don't let your FAT from the past, affect your FORM for the FUTURE!...DO IT RIGHT!!!"

....also...smashed down to 156 lbs!!! WOOOHOOO!!!!...I was at 159lbs a few days ago!

Yay marathons sound exciting!!!! So much more fun when you're really working towards something :D I have to try my hardest to run 2.5kms in 10mins in 2 weeks- I did just over 2kms last time, and had one of the best times... but really want to finish in front. The best person did 2.2kms and everyone has been improving their times by like 200m every time we do it so I figure I have to improve by at LEAST 400m. I'm being optimistic :D And jogging a lot lol

That's fantastic that you are working on speed! ...I remember that a long time ago, my brother who was a Junior Olympic runner said to me "You don't see change, because you don't run FAST ENOUGH!"

...that really stuck in my mind. When you say "km" it's kind of hard since I work in "miles in my head"...so I looked it up...and it said"

1 km = .62137 miles or 1 mile = 1.609 km
10 x .62137 = 6.2137 miles

...So that means, that when you say, 2.5 km= that means to "me" 1.55 miles in 10 minutes!!! ...That's really really good!!!...and if you could keep that time up,...it would mean 3.1 km in 20 mins!! WOW!!!!!!!!

..that's an amazing goal!...Sounds like you have run marathons before, is that right!? :) if so, how many!?!? What was your time?!...and if not...when is the FIRST one!?

Excellent smashing over the weekend Alta! :waving: Seeing the scale drop must be giving you some motivation too!
I could use a partner too but it doesn't look like that's going to happen so you are right we just have to do it on our own!! And we will!! You can push me if you see me slacking and I will do the same!!
What have you done today to make you feel proud? This phrase went through my mind a couple times this weekend and all thanks to you!! Even though I have been watching the BL for some time now I never thought about that phrase until you wrote it in your journal!! Thanks for the reminders!
have a great day!

Ahhhhhh FUCK!!!!!!!!! Lesson Learned! You can not smash pounds AND drink WINE and shots like a fish!!! FAKKKKKKKK!!!

....those pounds I lost the other day...are BACK!...160lbs this morning!! UGHH....maybe I was reading the scale wrong too!?!?! WHO THE HELL KNOWS!!! ...it's not digital. Boooo

....to see me retain so much sugar from WINE and people coming over....has made me realize I need a SOBER period in my life. Starting TODAY!..this is going to be a challenge. But I can do it!!!

...glad to say that the food almost ran out in my fridge...and now I'm going on a vegetarian roll once that last bit of chicken and steak is gone in the fridge.

ENOUGH!!....and back to drinking protein shakes...and putting FIBER in there...."psyllium husks"...and Getting POO BABIES out of me!!! Big ones!!!!!

....and Raw juicing in the morning sounds good too!!!....Almonds and nuts for snacks...and pttttttttttttrrrrrrrr NO ALCOHOL!!!!!

I used to be a pretty big drinker and within the last year just realized it's not worth it more than half the time. I used to have a couple glasses of wine each night simply because it was there and now I realize it's just empty calories and my night will be just as good without it. Sometimes I have to drink to have a good time - I know that sounds so awful! But when the weekend comes and that's all our friends want to do - sometimes I have to give in. I'm trying to limit that to once a month and even then not drink till the point of being hung over. It's just so socially accepted around where I live and people say that's all there is to do! I really need new friends!
Keep it up Alta and I'm sure all that weight you gained will be gone again tomorrow! Water, water, water!

I've never run a marathon before- something I was thinking of looking to do in the future though! I think it would be awesome fun!

I've never been a big drinker, probably drink once every 2 months... but I'm baaad when I do! I have one and think, "Just the one..." Then I'll find myself buying another and another, then I'll get home and eat everything in the house lol. I go out clubbing a lot and stuff but don't feel any pressure to drink anymore as the friend I always go out with isn't allowed to drink- so that helps HEAPS! Puts me in a horrible mood the next day anyway (hungover or not)

I definitely hear you!!! ...I've noticed the same things too. I almost can't believe that at one point I quit drinking for 8 months or 9 months to lose 50 lbs! ...I feel inspired again though...and it feels good!!! Day by day....I'm excited!! I've passed a baby hell week for exercise and now I feel like I'm back!!!

You are really motivating me too!!! It's helping. And I have noticed how you don't drink anymore too. It's fantastic!! Super "FOCUSED!" xoxo

OMG...I know what that's like! That's how I get as well, I want one cup of wine, then two, then OMG...I drank a whole bottle!!! It's insane...

...I really at this point want to incorporate moderation, but will really have to do so laterrrrrrr because right now, I just need to "FOCUS!"

You are so lucky that you don't really like it,...and it definetly makes it easier that your main friend doesn't drink. That's WAYYYYY easier. ...You made me start to wonder what happened to all my "workout friends"!?!?! hahah...

...Actually, I know what happened...I am too busy is what happens...! I have my own weird workout schedule no one can really fit into. Oh well! Get it done right!!!

You should do a marathoN! ...It is SOOOOO much easier to get the training done when there is a "SET DATE" and you have your reasons "WHY" really set in place. Then you just "DO IT!"

...I've been working on my speed again! :) Let's do it woman! Let's become JETTTTTSSS!!!

Baby Day 1 of no alcohol...or wine...DONE! haha!!

...Whipped out the 30 day Shred video tonight before BIGGEST LOSER came on...., because it was raining hard,....and my mixer was cancelled so I was able to go home and do some exercise. I wanted to be able to hear that SONG "WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TODAY TO MAKE YOU FEEL PROUD!? ...to come on and me actually KNOW THAT I DID something!!!

25 mins of Jillian Michaels 30 day shread-lev 1 Video --a little extra---5lb weights
30 mins of Treadmill--medium incline sprints

.....went to Gnc today to get a whole bunch of vitamins to take! Smashing begins!!!!

.....I think SAM from Biggest Loser is so cute!!! Hahah...every time...I love his attitude even more!! And mighty mighty buff now!! He impresses me withe his "FOCUS!"
