HI Guys,
SO My name is ALTA and to give you all a bit about myself....I am 25 years old, 5'2 and I weight currently as of 2 days ago, 172lbs...
My goal, which I have never been anywhere near is 125lbs! I would absolutely LOVE IT there!....
So as of 5 weeks ago, I started going to the gym and WALKING about 3.5 miles incline for about 4-5 days out of the week!....I am trying to eat around 1200 cals, very little to no carbs, and when I do, whole wheat! I am trying to eat organically grown veggies, and eggs, and milk (they taste better) and sticking to the whites of the eggs....
After one month of doing all of this I lost about 5lbs....which went from 177lbs to 172lbs....I had previously lost from 187lbs to 142 lbs about 3 years ago, and I would run about 4.5 miles then 3 times a week....I never really made it past that weight, though I did want to, I guess I lost focus, started eating more, and not the right foods, and became comfortable with my BF and the pounds came back...
....which brought me back to 187lbs....but today here I am at 172..fighting....
About 4 days ago, I said FORGET this, I NEED to step it UP! YOU all HAVE motivated me to NEW LENGTHS, and there I WENT! TO THE Park, and I DID it....4.5 miles without STOPPING...took me about 1hr......and then I went the day after and I DID it again!...THIS TIME I told myself...YOU KNOW WHAT...YOU "ARE" AN ATHLETE and YOU "CAN" DO ANYTHING You set your mind to DO.....SO I DID IT...I had taken 1 day BREAK from those TWO days RUNNING BACK TO BACK, and just like NIKE...."JUST DO IT" & I did...9 MILES (with a 5 min. break in the middle) and it took me 2hrs and 23 min....WHOOOOAAAA!
I"M STILL shocked!
BUT I did it ONCE and now there is no stopping ME!
TODAY...I plan to RUN another 9.0 miles! I WANT TO MILES on THESE "TOOTSIES" and HOPEFULLY, melt myself much faster than I did before....BEFORE it HAD taken me about 9 months to get from 187lbs to 142lbs....a slow 5lbs a month!...I WANT TO BEAT THAT, and SHOCK myself to the NEW lengths MY BODY CAN REACH when PUSHED! I THANK EACH and EVERY one of YOU that HAS "SPARKED" the GREATEST MOTIVATION in ME!....THANKS for the SUPPORT!~ and I WILL keep you updated!

WEIGHT is something that I've battled my WHOLE life, and who knows sometimes I THINK that maybe "UNCONSCIOUSLY" I felt that I WAS not "WORTHY" enough to be "FIT" and "SKINNY" like the REST! BUT NOW, after SEEING and READING such wonderful ACCOMPLISHMENTS and BARRIERS broken...I REALIZE that this is what it is for me as well....A BARRIER...and "I DO DESERVE" to be HAPPY and FIT & LOVE MYSELF just like EVERYBODY else! Now looking BACK, I think ONE of the MAIN things in my LIFE and ONE of the LARGEST causes for my FAILURE is that I HAD NO SUPPORT SYSTEM, or PEOPLE I COULD VENT TO WHO UNDERSTOOD ME!
This time around I WILL MAKE IT TO MY GOAL and with the HELP of all of YOU I WILL STAY MOTIVATED and FOCUSED!
