Great to hear your food intake was better today AND that your foot is feeling better. I hope you’re able to get to the gym tomorrow. :)

That’s a great idea about the Newbie forum too. I had intended on doing that a long, long time ago, but got so sucked in to the diaries that I guess I forgot. :( I’ll try to make more of an effort to get over there too. :)

So, I'm at a new lowest weight this week by 1.5 pounds! Makes me happy, especially because I didn't get to exercise much this week. I felt like I ate a lot today, although it was nothing too over the top. Smoothie, pad thai, sword fish and roasted veggies, graham crackers, and some popcorn.

Went to the doctor today about my foot. She basically told me what I expected (that the joint was inflamed), and game me some hardcore anti-inflammatory called diclofenac. It has helped ridiculously in the last nine hours. While not completely pain free, it's much better. The range of motion has improved too. I should hope to be good enough to go to the gym by Monday. All in all, I'm happy with today. :]

Today was a pretty good day. I had a peanut butter sandwich for breakfast, my dad took us to this Italian buffet for lunch, and I just ate some cheese and crackers tonight so I could take my PCOS pill. I'm really proud of how I did at the buffet. I had a salad, a bowl of soup, and one plate of food. Before, I would have had three plates of food and thought nothing of it and all of it be heavy Italian food instead of a salad. I also went to this local orchard and bought some very lovely apples, honey, and a spaghetti squash. Excited to use those things this week. :]

My foot is also feeling loads better. I might not quite be ready to go to the gym on Monday, but we'll see. I'll just keep taking my anti-inflammatory and icing it. I bought some hardcore shoe inserts today that might keep this from happening again for a while. They were really expensive, so I hope they help.

Cory, I'm sorry about your foot. There's nothing like an injury to mess up plans for getting some exercise done. I have gout, so even though the cause is different from your ailment, I suffer similar symptoms that come out of the blue seemingly, and it's very debilitating. I've never heard of diclofenac, but it sounds very effective. My doc usually gives me prednisone; it works well, but unfortunately, weight-gain is a side-effect, so I have to be careful when taking it. Great job at the buffet though! They are like a minefield to me; I just gulp down a plate at every step. And congrats on your new low weight!

Oh man, I would have been awful at the buffet. I'm still at the point where I'm not ready to go out, I'm pretty sure I'll overdo it. Good job on keeping yourself in control. Buffet restaurants are the devil!

I've started noticing a bit of pain in my right foot when I walk. I think I need some inserts, too! Those things can be a real game-changer. My current shoes have no support at all :(.

Also, good job with the soda-free trend! You're doing awesome :)

You are doing awesome! I am trying to catch up on everyone's diaries and read your fears post. Just remember, you are the same person inside as you will be when you lose the weight. Perhaps losing weight will cause more people to notice you, but once they get to know you they will stay because of your personality. Same thing with guys, embrace it when they begin to notice you, but remember that you are still you on the inside, and if they stick around it is because of your personality and who you really are, and if they don't then that is OK because you don't want to be with someone who likes how you look but not who you are. Take it slow and get to know each other - just because you start dating doesn't mean you have to lose your individuality or change your whole life to spend every waking moment with them.

Thanks for the support everyone!

Ok, so Sunday was pretty bad, but also good in a way. My mom made fajitas and I made cupcakes (for a friend whose grandfather recently passed). The last few weeks I haven't been eating near as much as I have in the past, so my stomach has shrunk. My mom's fajitas were so good that I ate an 'old Cory' portion....and followed it up with two cupcakes. I was so full. I felt absolutely disgusting full. It was almost enough to make me ill. But what it did do was teach me that there is really no upside to eating 'old Cory' portions anymore. It's not like I get hungry for that much food at this point and all it does is make you fat.

Today was good. I had oatmeal and strawberries for breakfast, pad thai and a tangerine for lunch, and spaghetti squash with a ricotta cheese sauce for dinner. My foot is also feeling much much better. It's not completely pain-free, but I am going to risk zumba tonight. So excited. :D

Just a quick edit: I made a good decision tonight! My brother and his girlfriend went to Cook Out tonight, which is an incredibly unhealthy fast food joint for those who aren't familiar. They asked if I wanted to come with them. It would have made my life easier to say yes, but I stayed home and made my own food instead.

Wow, you're doing so excellent! I hope your foot is totally healed. My mom invited me today to a restaurant for supper and after thinking I really would like to as it's so yummy I decided against it. It's not that I have a problem with going out as that's part of life, but I just went out on Saturday, then had some higher cal food yesterday even though I watched my portions. Sometimes it's just better not too!

It feels so good to be able to say no to food, doesn't it? Great job, Cory. You made the right choice and you'll see results so long as you keep making those right choices :).

Hope Zumba goes well tonight!

That sounds absolutely delicious, actually. Email me some.

Mystic: Sometimes you just have to save it for when you know you're strong enough to make good choices.

Loch: Thanks! I probably won't say 'no' next time, to be honest. Sometimes you just want a burger and fries. :p

MrVee: It was awfully good. I can pm you the recipes if you want.

Sunflower: It is pretty good. I don't eat it very often though because my brother isn't very fond of it.

I think TOM might be coming to visit me soon. My stomach has been upset all day, but I've been absolutely ravenous at the same time. I haven't fallen prey to the cravings, but it's hard to hold out. :p Luckily I don't have anything too bad in the house. My food has been pretty good today. I had my fruit smoothie for breakfast, a veggie plate from this café for lunch, and will be eating roasted chicken and vegetables for dinner. I'm excited about the chicken. It's a whole one, so it should be totally delicious.

On a different note. I'm very pissy over my exercise today. Free Week ended yesterday, so I needed to pay for my pass but the website isn't working. That means I don't have a pass and can't go tonight. And I couldn't go even if I did have the pass because it's snowing. >:[

Sounds like a mixed bag today. Do you have steps in your house? You could do some basic things, anything is better than nothing!

I miss fruit smoothies. I need to get a blender so I can make them!

I want your dinner, it sounds like you're a better cook than I am lol.

Hi Cory! Looks like you are doing well since I last dropped in here. I actually found your post about "old Cory portions" inspiring! It is so great that you have gotten to that point where something like that is so easy to recognize. I really need to get back on track and start eating better so that eventually my "current-Camila" portions are eventually "old-Camila" portions. :)

As always your meals sound amazing and nutritious. Please come prepare my meals for me! I'm so hopeless :)

Camila, I'm glad to see you back! I have been on hiatus here for a while as well. I have basically been gone since the end of August and came back not too long ago. I'm sure you'll get to the point where you refer to 'old Camila' pretty quickly. :]

I feel like I've eaten a lot today. Still having that ravenous feeling. However, I did tell myself I wouldn't eat or drink anything that didn't at least have some nutritional value. I had oatmeal and strawberries with OJ for breakfast, spaghetti squash with roasted veggies and ricotta cheese sauce for lunch, and venison chili with corn muffins for dinner. I did have two bowls of chili and two corn muffins, which is more than I intended; however, I figure there are worse things I could eat two bowls of than chili. I also drank a full glass of whole chocolate milk, but it least it has all the good vitamins and healthy fats of the milk. I'm not too worried about my calorie intake today. I think it was still under my limit. I just hope TOM gets here and leaves quickly.

I did get to go to pilates tonight, which was a lot of fun. Worked 'dem abs out! Tomorrow is zumba. I am SO happy to be exercising again. :D

Sometimes I think a hiatus can provide some much needed perspective! PS whenever I am hungry now I am going to stop by here because your meals always sound so delicious AND healthy! Oh, how do you like Pilates? I have tried yoga before and I honestly get so bored and distracted...I've heard great things about Pilates though. Would love to hear your thoughts!

ah TOM, always I fun one to have around. I have him over to visit as well, luckily so far he isn't making a dent in my eating. Great job in still getting pilates in!
