Cord's Quest

I still have a sore throat.

And today I did both a weight session and a 1000m swim.

Tomorrow is a day off from exercise. Gotta rest the body now and then.

And last night was my last midnight this cycle. I actually get a whole week off now, although part of that is because I have to drive to Vancouver to see a specialist.

Ahh, Vancouver... home of awesome and cheap sushi...and the best hot dogs in the world - Japadog!

Looooong drive for a specialist appointment..yikes. I agree that we do have cheap sushi, I have a place just down the street from me that is crazy cheap and good. Not only that, when you eat in, they constantly give you free food...different rolls, fish head *ok that was a little creepy, but good*
I can make some really great healthy choices *as long as i stay away from the tempura and agadashi tofu..lol*

Japadog...? What do they make it out of, any tofu or rice?

There's this Asian Supermarket that I used to live by, and they have all sorts of interesting stuff in there. I happened to find their version of a Jelly Roll. Num Yum. It had a particular taste to it though that I just couldn't place my finger on. IDK rice, or tofu, or something.....:ack2:
 
nope, no eye balls thank god, but...the head is split in half and fried.. you are supposed to eat the meat out of the face pockets.. *yes, this does seem gross* sometimes i can have some, sometimes...i just cant do it...lol

She did some deep tissue massage therapy on my calf and my ankle joint.

This is apparently another word for 'torture'.

Yes, I paid money to have a woman torture me while I lay helplessly. Does that make me weird? :)

No workout today - taking the day off.

It's a new month.

Let's hope it goes better than last month, which was so crappy as to defy adequate description.

I started October at 251 pounds. I am starting November at 250 pounds. That's a loss of one. freaking. pound. In a month.
Not exactly the 10 pounds per month I had been doing for the previous six months, is it?

My wife is being annoyingly logical again as I write this. She has explained to me that even though I was obviously eating more than usual, I still wasn't eating enough to actually gain any weight. So, essentially, I spent October maintaining.
Man, she's annoying.

Body fat is currently sitting at 29%

I take measurements at the beginning of each month. I won't bore you with the entire list since I started, but will give the current numbers, change in the last month, and total change since I started. How's that?

Chest: 46", -1" from last month, -9" total
Waist: 43", -1" / -10.5"
Hips: 45.5", -1.5" / -6.5"
Upper Arm: 14", 0 / -3" (ok 'cause I'd actually like them to get bigger now)
Forearm: 12.5", 0 / -0.5" (not much fat to actually lose, there)
Thigh: 26.5", 0 / -4.5"
Calf: 18.5", 0 / -2"
Neck: 15.5", 0 / -2"

I had other stuff to say but I don't remember what it was.

A new month is another chance to get it right. I'm getting up again and carrying on, although less smugly than before, to be sure.
It is only failure if you don't get up again.

Edit: the ticker needs an option to show the little guy swimming the other way...

I am happy that you are starting fresh and moving on, but you need to stop beating yourself up as much as you are, because its really hard to be successful and strong when you are feeling battered and torn.

I was actually just coming on here to prepare myself to dig my heels in and get serious again. Sweet!

I'd love to get at least another ten off by Christmas....
