Here is the story... I copy and pasted it from my thingy on Yahoo answers. It is a few weeks old. But obviously still relevant
I told "S" about it yesterday. Would have told him sooner but I haven't had PT in a few weeks because of Boot Camp. But I am guessing his wife would have told him anyway. I don't know if he was offended or not but he didn't look happy. He said that "A", because of her army training and stuff, thinks you are not working hard enough unless you are throwing up from it. He has had clients come over to him from her and have said stuff like this.

I am 23 years old, 155cm, 57kg. I have put on 3 kg over the past 6 months but it has been proven to be muscle and I have lost body fat.
I was bulimic and last year I asked my personal trainer at the time "A" to help me stop it. I has come to a point where I didn't want to throw up anymore and I was just plain sick of it. So "A" helped me and I stopped. What she did was get me to do more exercise. And lots of it. I look back at the diaries and I used to write that it felt like too much. But then I got used to it.
We ended up having a huge fight and I didn't talk to her for a long time. Then we talked again then I got a new PT because she didn't want to do early mornings anymore. Then that PT went away and I chose another one, a male one, "S", I think around Mayish
I felt like I was going to relapse so I told "S" about it and he got me to start keeping a diary of feelings which started to help. "S" said he had started to see signs of overtraining in me and wanted me to slow down. Me being stubborn, doesn't want to slow down lol.
So I thought, "If I want to find out if I am really OT, then I should talk to "A". "A" used to be bulimic. She also used to get me to train for long periods of time.
Anyhow last Friday I saw "A" at the gym and decided to talk to her about it. In this time these are some of the things she told me...
"You've put on weight. It looks like you've put on weight"
"Your upper body isn't as defined as it was when I was training you"
"S" doesn't know you the way I do and he won't be able to help you"
"S's" wife I see for my acne and I told her all this today during out massage session. I think she concluded that I don't like her husband's style of training, which is not true. I told her what "A" said and I don't think she believes what "A" said.
I told her she can tell "S" because I will tell him anyway the next time I see him. "A" does use negative reinforcement to help me and before it used to help, but now I am totally confused!
