Confessions of an emotional eater - my weight loss journey

Hey everyone! I'm Tara, 22 female, and I'm an emotional eater. I eat compulsively. I eat when I'm sad, when I'm bored, when I'm stressed, and sometimes for no reason at all. My ultimate goal in this journal is to break that cycle and (re)claim control over my eating habits to keep the weight off for good.


Right now I'm 5"11 and around 170lbs (I'll weigh myself at the gym later tonight) and I want to go down to 150-155 by June 1st. I will eat no more than 1500 calories a day, cut out refined sugar and simple carbs, and do at least 30 minutes of exercise a day.


I'm looking forward to a slimmer, happier me!
 
I binged this morning. Ate about 1400 calories in bread and cereal. Luckily I'm off to the gym shortly and am planning on having a light, carb-free high-protein dinner.
 
I can completely relate. I am an emotional eater too. I celebrate with food and it comforts me when I'm down, entertains me when I'm bored and keeps me company when I'm lonely. BUT! that ends 21 Jan 2012. We are on the road to reclaim our lives and sexy bodies!! woohoo, way to go xx
 
AYou're going to find a lot of people around here who are emotional eaters, myself included! Hopefully we can all support each other and break those bad habits. Good luck to you!
