Confessions of a food Junkie

AHA I'm back (I was never off the wagon)...I was away until Jan 3rd with no comp over the break and then back to school and I'm just being slammed with work. It's insane!! Geology is KILLING me, but I'm back at recording food and I'm still abstaining for pretty much all fast food.

It's been:
142 days since I've touched anything Tim Hortons
70 days A&W
46 days McDonalds
30 days Burger King, Dairy Queen, any chineese food
7 days KFC (since I started counting...but I know it's longer than that.)
6 days Potatoe chips

Christmas break went well. I didn't over stuff myself on or around christmas, but on New Years day, I was a little bad and it got me addicted to salt and vinegar chips, so that is hence the reason for my chip ban! Gotta keep these things under control.:D
I've also added to my collection of workout dvds. I've aquired 2 more Carmen Electra Dvd's and a dance work out dvd called "Fat Blasting Dance Mix" with 5 - 10 minutes sessions that target different areas of the body. I like these a lot and it gives me the flexibility of doing a work out in my own home. :)

I hope everyone had a fantastic holiday and a happy new year. :) :)

Just maintaining so far (according to the scales). I'm really trying to get back to the way I was during the summer months. Lots of water, small meals, recording meals, and lots of daily activity, good rest. I'm working on all of the above and I'm continuing to get rid of my bad vices and change my triggers. That's been the hardest thing for me, but slowly I am getting rid of all the crap, one thing at a time. :D

I've set some newer, short term goals, which will hopefully intern, help me reach my long term goals. I'm also thinking of adding to my family if I can reach a certain goal weight by Sept 1st. Which is 220 to 240ish range, but preferably 220s, which is totally doable. I just have to go super strict. I may be going to a convension in Las Vegas in May of 2008, so I don't know for sure if I'm going to or not, but I'm keeping my options open.

fair enough, i think thats one of my 'things' i had to get past
learning my triggers and working around them.

Yup, it's really important to me to get rid of these things. I've done really well for packing lunches everyday. Now I'm working on making healthy meals at night.

Eventually all this work is going to pay off. I want to look great for my 2008 convention (still in the works) because I want to sit by the pool in Vegas  :D

Ok, so I think I might be staying at the Mirage in Vegas and OMG I am totally loopy about this!!! Any one been??? tips???

I went back and read the reasons I wanted to lose weight for a refresher and it helped.

I weigh in on fridays offically, but I typically weight everyday at 6 am. I've been maintaing since I got my new scale pretty much.

Food for yesterday was good. I had turkey curry with potatoe and carrots and onions with rice for supper, frosted flakes with 1 percent milk, whole wheat crackers and orange juice.

Today for breaky, I just had time to grab 1 cup (500ml) of OJ. For lunch I have left over curry and rice and baby carrots with a can of diet pepsi.

Vegas is a hoot... you'll have fun - lots to see and do - with our without gambling - never ever gamble more than you are willing to lose - Odds favor the house - always :D

the strip is fun for walking - especially in theevening whenit cools down... the freaks definitey come out at night and they're fun to watch :D

What convention are you going to?

Oh, it's for another forum I moderate on, it's more informal and more like a meet up. IT's cool cuz I'm on several different forums and this will be the first time I meet up with people I feel like I've known my whole life.

I don't gamble, except for bingo LOL.

For exercise, about 30 minutes of walking outside on the snow track :) I was outta breath  1.75 to 2 miles worth.

For food:

Breaky...nothing today.
Lunch (11:45am): 1 can diet pepsi, 8 whole wheat crackers, 6 cheddar cheese slices (too much), 3 slices of turkey lunch meat, 1 appricote(sp??), 20-25 baby carrots, 1 nature valley granola bar (mixed berry).
Snack (3:40pm): 1 large apple, 12 rice crackers, 2 f.f. caramel rice cakes.

It's always nice to see your smiling face Kallie! Have lots of fun in Vegas; I would love to go to a fun weekend to meet some online friends!!!

So I got 15 minutes of this really intense workout dvd and I think I was going to die!! lol...It's really hard...definately not for the newb that I am, but I will catch on..I tried the fat burning party and the Butt and thigh blaster and I feel the burn!!!! I gotta build the endurance level definately.

Need to kick my butt to drink more water!!! I'm going to try to down a litre before bed.

Nice to see you Kallie. Really proud of your NO list !!

Enjoy the trip.

LOL yea T2, great to see yah!

Welp, I got a phone call this morning for a job interview with my city. It's today at 3:40pm for a youth leader position working with kids ages 5 to 14 doing physical activity and crafts.

I've been putting together a binder of stuff we can do all morning. I really want to impress Mary (person to interview me) with my preparedness LOL.

Wish me luck!

Woohoo. I got 2 jobs in one day lol and I started work yesterday too. THen today I had court in the morning ( 39 hours of community service instead of paying fine) and then I taught kindergarden in the afternoon (figured out I was right when I thought I wanted to teach grade 4 or 5 or higher LOL).

The program I got is called "Girl's on the Move" and I have a great feeling this will help me with exercise. We played lacross, oh buffalo, basketball and a hoola hoop contest all in one 2 hour period. They will defiantely keep me busy!!!

On sad news, I had another forum friend die yesterday. She was pregnant (and only 19) and something happened with her small intestine and they took the baby early by 2.5 months and then she survived the surgery and then died in recovery. It's the saddest thing ever. I know I never met her in person, but I felt like I knew her like I did just the same. :( :(

Anyways, it's been a crazy few days.
