Confessions of a food Junkie

Losing weight to get healthy for a future pregnancy is an excellent idea and very motivating. I want to have a home birth when I eventually have a child, and I know that being overweight can increase the risks of certain complications that may prevent me from doing that. That is one of my main motivations, together with wanting to get my bad eating habits under control so that hopefully I will not pass these onto my children.

You are doing really fab, keep it up ;)

Hi Miss K. You have mentioned procrastinating. Yep that is one of my biggest downfalls. My saying all the time is "Tomorrow is another day" but I have now decided to start the day before tomorrw. I am trying to get myself to make a list of what urgently needs to be done the next day. I write everything in my daytimer and set in on the desk in front of my computer monitor. That way I have no other choice but to look at the daytimer. I used to do that at work years ago but somehow dropped that habit. Now I am once again getting back into that habit. And it is a "habit". Have a great weekend.;)

Did you ever think you'd say thank god for TOM?? LOL!!!!!

You're doing great with your exercise and your food. You just take it day by day, step by step. And you will get there.

and from a few pages back...

Sure enough, their first night on the island, they were captured and brought to the chief

I read this that they were captured and taken to the CHEF!!! LOL!!! Guess that's kind of right.

Have a great weekend Kallie blossom!!!!

Mrs B ~ Yup that is a great motivator for me too. I think a home birth would be amazing!

Jodee ~ Yea I've kind of realized that procrastination is the downfall of a lot of things in my life. I'd probably be a A + student (instead of B +) if I didn't procrastinate like I do.

Scarlett ~ LOL I know. As much as I am indifferent to TOM most of the time, times like these make TOM my bestfriend LOL.

Well my schedual went down the tubes today. I had to take my son to the hospital and he had to get stitches (only 2 but still). A peice of glass (in the park) stabbed him through his sandel in the side of his foot. So with the wait and the stitches, we didn't get home until 1:45 and we were gone since 11:15.

Drama

Ooooohh, he's all right though, right???

My daughter had to get stiches under her bottom lip, 14 of them. She had tripped and fell into the coffe table when she was about a year old. That was the worst feeling.

Manny ~ Yes, Telaryn's alright. He was really upset with the freezing(needle) and I really almost cried because he sounded like he was in so much pain, but he was fine once the freezing worked and then all the sudden he was ok when he got the sucker afterwards LOL.

Holy cow 14 stitches! Yikes. That's alot....I'm glad he only had to get two.

Well Today could have been better, but unfortunately we can't always control events so I did the best I could for the craziness of today lol. I haven't made my walk for today, but there is still time for a quick family walk, only one mile.

I am really glad that your son is okay, must have been scary for a while though. And that day looks good to me ... did you get out for that walk in the end?

Mrs B ~ I didn't end up going for the walk, but instead I danced around with my son and I lifted some free weights my hubby wanted but hasn't used yet LOL. I felt the burn in my arms and I liked it. I made sure I didn't push myself too much.

I think that I was under the 1500 cals for the day and I am almost sure that I am not over 1800 so that is good.

Another fab day Miss Kallie, and as long as you exercised thats the main thing. Also weight training is very important. If you do weights, then nearly 100% of what you lose is fat, whereas without doing weights you will always lose some lean mass.;)

Now, going to a movie and having no snacks...you have made great strides. You're turning activities that usually are associated with food into activities to be enjoyed for their intended purpose alone. That is a great accompishment!!!

Glad to hear your son is alright and hope that you have a good rest of your weekend.

Miss K, you are doing GREAT!!
Good for you for not having the junk food at the movies too! That is so good :D

I'm glad to hear that your little guy is doing better!

yay for no junk food. :)
not only are you not wasting empty calories on snacks but u're also saving ur wallet. holy! a large popcorn at the movie theatres nowadays is INSANELY expensive! $_$

Thanks guys! I am proud of myself.

I am extremely tired today. I got a phone call very early in the morning to come rescue a pregnant queen (cat) and her tom. I got the queen but not the tom so far...waiting for a call to come get him.

I currently own 1 cat named Mittens (a seal point snowshoe siamese) that's a year old and the new cat's name is Misty and she is a year old ( Lynx point siamese). My most favorite breed of cat is Siamese. My heart belongs to cats and espcially Siamese and a close second Bengal.

All my cats have come to me through rescues.

Yay for you with no food at the movies. I recently started doing that too, and besides it making me able to watch the movie better, I'm saving a lot more money! And I don't end up feeling guilty about eating all that junk food. Great job!
