I'm at a halfway point, I have only lost 0.4kg in the past month, so I am going to get my butt into gear and work off those last kg!

THE 'DIET' PLAN

CALORIES PER DAY: 1500

BREAKFAST OPTIONS: Oatmeal, Egg White Omellet, Skim Milk, Berries, Vanilla Essence to flavour oats.

LUNCH OPTIONS: Toasted Cheese and Tuna Sandwiches (Wholemeal Bread, Low calorie cheese, tuna in water or sweet chilli, no butter), Sushi (occasionally), Salad Sandwiches, Salads, Salt Reduced Broth Based Soups.

DINNER OPTIONS: Small portion of what is served (rarely have control over foods, i live at home), LOTS of vegies (cauliflower, broccolli, peas, corn, capsicum, beans, salads), GRILLED meat (especially fish and chicken), NO creamy sauces, Sweet Chilli Sauce for flavour. Subway 6" is OK, NO cheese, honey mustard sauce, roast chicken or sweet onion chicken teryak or veggie delight or turkey.

SNACK OPTIONS: Fruit (apples, bananas, strawberries), Dairy (slice cheese, yoghurt, le rice), Nuts or Seeds (sesame seed snacks, unroasted unsalted nuts), Tinned Fish (tuna or salmon). Low calorie jelly and low calorie ice pops are OK.

DRINKS: Water, Coffee or Tea with Equal, Diet Drinks in Moderation, low calorie cordial in moderation.

MEAL TIMING: Eat every 3 hours, dont eat after 8pm (to prevent night time snacking)

THE 'EXERCISE' PLAN

AT LEAST 60 minutes of exercise EVERY DAY

CARDIO @ GYM: 4 Days a week. 40-60 minute sessions.
WALKING: 20 minute walk to and from work 5 days a week, go on a long walk on Saturday and Sunday.
WEIGHTS: Do 3 weights sessions a week in lunch break.

56kg - New shoes
54kg - Shopping spree!

why have you picked your goal weight? at your current height, 118lbs is very low... healthy eating habits are good, and your meal plan seems reasonable and healthy I'm just a little concerned that your goal weight is too low to sustain...

My birthday is next Sunday, I would LOVE to be able to lose 1kg by then, and be around 56.5kg. I started my diet at the end of July, and I wanted to have reached my goal weight by 7 October. Which now wont happen lol. I wanted to be at my goal weight so I could go buy smaller clothes with my birthday money!

For most people they probably would be happy at my current weight, but I know I have fat that I want to lose. And I want to be more toned and muscular. I have been a lot lower than 54kg at my height, I put on some weight and I looked great at 54kg, but if I get to say 56kg and I like how I am looking I will stop there. Weight is really just a number though.

I think i will be able to sustain it, building muscle will help wont it? And I have been losing weight slowly, and I dont think after I lose it all I will go back to old habits and put it all back on again.

At 54kg I still have a healthy BMI.

I am going to a Turkish Restaurant tomorrow night for a colleagues birthday, I have never had Turkish food though, is there something that is low fat and healthy on the menu maybe?
Normally I just wouldn't go, but I am new to my job and should socialise.

I heard it is a lot of dips, and generally healthy.

This also means I might miss out on my cardio tomorrow night, the restaurant is about 30 minutes away so I might walk back, or go to the gym on the way home.
 
in on topic there's a thread about Lebanese food, turkish food is quite similar...

I'd check to see if the restaurant has a menu on line and do the best you can ordering... booze would probably be a bigger concern than the food... just enjoy the meal and keep going - don't beat yourself up - don't obsess over everything you put in your mouth - enjoy meeting your colleagues and have fun...

Well the good thing is I am on my Provisional Drivers Licence, so I cant have ANY alcohol lol!

Thanks for the tip, im sure they have a menu online. Sounds like the kinda food i'd like too.
 
Today went well! Apart from the 5 mini peanut butter cups hehe!

Im leaving work in about half an hour, will go home and have dinner, then head out to the gym for an hour. Im also going to stop by the grocer near me (the trendy kind with organic fruit and veg) and pick up some fruit and vegies, and a few dips that can go with them.

I am going Gluten Free this week to see if I have gluten intolerance or a wheat allergy, so no bread for me this week! I can still have my porridge in the morning and rice though.

I went shopping in my lunch break!

There was 30% off EVERYTHING at Harris Scarfe. So I bought:

Yes. Not a very good diet plan today, but its Friday and I REALLY REALLY want that cookie I keep eyeing at the shop. Im guessing its about how much I eat for lunch, so I'll just have that.

Also, I've been having coffee (instant with sweetner and light milk) for a few days and it seems to curb my appetite. It also regulates bowel movements so thats good.

Jumped on the scales this morning, im still the same weight. I am getting kinda pissy about this plateau... grrr! Will have to really step up the exercise on the weekend.

UPDATE: 1:15pm
Really not feeling hungry AT ALL.

I have drunk 3 glasses of water today, and I have eaten only breakfast and a slice of cheesecake. Im actually feeling quite uncomfortably full, so I will drink some more water and then have lunch around 3pm.

Cause im feeling a tad sick I dont think I will get the cookie. There is a meeting on at the moment, they might have leftover sandwiches so I might get a salad sandwich instead.

This weekend is going to be PACKED with exercise! I am determined to see the scales change on Monday morning.

So exercise will be:

SATURDAY:
10km Walk/Run on Mt Wellington (Training for Half Marathon)
Walk in Afternoon or Gym = 40 Minutes

SUNDAY:
60 Minutes Cardio @ Gym (XTrainer, Bike, Run)
LONG Walk with hills = 40-60 Minutes

Update: Saturday 6pm

I didn't go for my run today, was VERY VERY cold, and on the mountain its WAY worse. I got up at 8am and took my boyfriend to work, came back and slept till 1:30pm. I was just feeling so tired and run down. Around 2pm I went to the gym.

20 Minutes Interval Training on XTrainer - 200 calories
20 Minutes Interval Training on treadmill (varying between running and walking) - 140 Calories
20 Minutes Bike Riding - 240 calories


It felt good to exercise though. My back has been hurting for a few days, and i wasn't sure if I should go. My workout wasn't as intense as it usually is so I was OK.

My parents are out at the moment - AFL Grand Final Day, they're at a BBQ - so not sure about dinner. There isnt really anything I can have thats good for me. I could steam some veggies and grill a piece of chicken maybe? Im really really not hungry after all those Tim Tams, so I might have dinner around 7 - 7:30pm. I feel so shit so I thought I would re-focus on weight loss and what I want to achieve:

Goal Weight: 54kg
Current Weight: 57.6kg
KG to go: 3.6kg
Goal Clothing Size: Size 8 (US ?)
Goal Waist Measurement: 60cm/24"

Reasons For Wanting to Lose Weight: Gain more self confidence, be able to wear nice fashionable clothes without looking frumpy. Be comfortable with my body around my boyfriend. Fit into size 8 jeans and NOT have a muffin top. Hopefully lose some fat on my cankles!

I'm going to look at rental properties today, one about a block from work, but it doesn't have any off street parking which is a bummer. It's a one bedroom, but is apparantly really really small. I dont really mind that though.

Things are going pretty shitty with everything, parents are making me move out, boyfriend broke up with me last night. Im surprised I even turned up at work today. I guess I haven't really thought about it.. I havent let myself. I cried all the way home from his house yesterday, and in the drive way I swore I wouldnt cry over him again. So I guess I have just been going on like nothing has happened, not the best way to deal with it but im not going to get all upset about it, I cant change what happened. Life Goes On.

Goals For This Week:
Find a place to rent
Not spend any money (going to need that for bond)
Dont snack between meals
Drink 8 glasses of water each day
Try to exercise EVERY day
Sunday (my birthday) is my day off
 
I'm pretty sure we're over.

We fought last night
He tells me to go x 1,000,000 times
I wait in car for him for 20 minutes, he never comes after me
He wont write back to my text messages/calls
Today says he wants to be alone

Yeah... I'm pretty sure it's over.

But I still want to be friends. We have been with eachother 16 months, he is my best friend, I dont want him out of my life. But I dont know what he wants, he wont talk to me at the moment, so if he doesn't want to speak to me again i guess I will just have to accept that.

Haven't told anyone yet... I don't think I will for a while. I dont really need anyone to comfort me, I have never been like that.

Tough thing is it's my birthday on Sunday, I guess I will be spending that alone. I doubt my friends would actually remember, my parents want me out of the house ASAP. He was really the only person in my life I could trust/talk to. And honestly, I know this is pretty negative, but I dont think I will move on from this. I have no urge to start dating again, I would prefer to be alone.

A text he sent me: "You were the greatest girlfriend I could have ever asked for, maybe when I grow up and can do for you what you did for me? But I cant rely on you being around"

So I dont know what he wants, he could just be saying it so he doesn't feel so bad about what he did. He dumped me, it doesnt matter how he feels about it, we're still not with eachother.

So yeah. Life pretty much sucks at the moment.

Still feeling like ass.
I have this uncomfortable knot in my throat...
Have no idea what I am going to do tonight.
I will go to the gym, might rent a movie or something.
God I need to distract myself.
