Colon Cleansing

reverse osmosis

If you can get this where you live buy one! you hook it under your sink to the tap, It kills all the crap in your water and gives you good clean drinking water. A friend of mind lives by the beach and her water has a hight degree of iron in it. You cant drink the water. but last year she put this system in and the water is great.

Reverse osmosis, also known as hyperfiltration, is the finest filtration known. This process will allow the removal of particles as small as ions from a solution. Reverse osmosis is used to purify water and remove salts and other impurities in order to improve the color, taste or properties of the fluid. It can be used to purify fluids such as ethanol and glycol, which will pass through the reverse osmosis membrane, while rejecting other ions and contaminants from passing. The most common use for reverse osmosis is in purifying water. It is used to produce water that meets the most demanding specifications that are currently in place.

Reverse osmosis uses a membrane that is semi-permeable, allowing the fluid that is being purified to pass through it, while rejecting the contaminants that remain. Most reverse osmosis technology uses a process known as crossflow to allow the membrane to continually clean itself. As some of the fluid passes through the membrane the rest continues downstream, sweeping the rejected species away from the membrane. The process of reverse osmosis requires a driving force to push the fluid through the membrane, and the most common force is pressure from a pump. The higher the pressure, the larger the driving force. As the concentration of the fluid being rejected increases, the driving force required to continue concentrating the fluid increases.

Reverse osmosis is capable of rejecting bacteria, salts, sugars, proteins, particles, dyes, and other constituents that have a molecular weight of greater than 150-250 daltons. The separation of ions with reverse osmosis is aided by charged particles. This means that dissolved ions that carry a charge, such as salts, are more likely to be rejected by the membrane than those that are not charged, such as organics. The larger the charge and the larger the particle, the more likely it will be rejected.

cleansing????

I saw on another thread that a few of you have tried cleansing. What is that? Is it colon cleansing? Do you go to a clinic or do it yourself? Can anyone provide info for me? thanks for any info. Love, j

Kim, I just love you pictures! I know alot of people talk about cleansing as the idea of taking a set number of days and having only clear liquids. No solid foods, no milk, some times they have certain types of broth or some people add a certain amount of cider vinegar. After a couple of days of that, your body starts getting rid of a massive amount of waste. Read that as, spending all your time in the bathroom. My mom used to do a 3 day cleansing every month.

All I have to do is eat a can of spinach.....and I swear its..."hellooooo Mr.John"......
That and oreos......But....I guess I will pass on the cookies.....Oh and real Dr.Pepper .....But I havnt had one of those since I dont know when......

when you get a colonoscopy they give this hard core laxative that cleans you out like merry maid on speed. it's not a good feeling. but, it definately works. you can buy them at target, too, where the other laxatives are.

why does it sound painful? LOL
I was thinking of doing the whole clear liquid diet cleansing... I dunno about the colonoscopy or the enema.....

Cleansing

Hello!
Does anyone ever cleanse as part of their health plans? I've tried several over the years....food based, suppliment based and fasting. I've heard arguments both for and against it. I like to do it a few times a year, but haven't been keeping up with it recently. I do notice benefits, but usually end up gorging after a fast so it's not my preferred method. I just saw something at Whole Foods called Whole Body Cleanse by Enzymatic Therapy. It's a two week fiber, milk thistle and laxative cleanse. I wonder if anyone has heard anything about that particular line?

I'm trying that stuff so I will let everyone know if it's good or not. Since I didn't get any warnings from anyone else, I figure no one's tried it.

Very nice post!! I had asked a friend of mine who is a pharmacist about cleaning out the system a while back and he said that if there was anything available to clean the blood then people would have a remedy for the AIDS disease, I too have heard opposite opinions so I still don't know if there are any medical FACTS to support cleansing of the body, if anyone knows of any, please post as I definitely need to flush out my system, wouldn't it have been great if we all had "car radiators" for a stomach! ;)

Did some research on Webmd and the results were that there is nothing to cleanse the body. Can you tell me just what "benefits" you got from your method? I've got a few frieds who've told me the same thing, that after the cleansing, they noticed that their skin got a better tone, some said their Acne cleared up so I am very confused by this issue.

Hello all:D . I was wondering if anyone has done the colon cleansing and how it worked for you, and the weight loss from it. I recently orded the cleansing, after some research I decided to give it a try. I am actually looking forward to it gross as it may seem, I am on a lot of pain killers for multiple back surgeries and if you don't know they constipate you beyond any kind of relief. I am looking at it as a kind of kill two birds with one stone, out with the old and in with the new and relief from the pain killers. Basically i would like to know if others have done this and how it has worked. Thanks

I posted a similar thread and didn't find anyone who cleansed their colons on here. Perhaps you'll have better luck.

I have been wanting to get a colonic done for a while. Last night I found some interesting reading online.

I started taking "Super Colon Cleanse" yesterday. I've taken it before for a short period and had good results, but after reading this one website last night, I really got worried. I think I may have to do this for months.

If you haven't seen this site already, check this out:

I'm curious to know how your program works for you. I just picked up a bottle of colon cleanse at the health food store, but after reading that website above, I'm convinced I should do a parasite cleanse too since I swam in fresh water lakes and streams growing up and traveled abroad.

MISSJELLYBELLY I have seen those pic's before and if all that comes out with the cleanse then I'm all for it:D . I ordered Zand quick cleanse It's a 7 day program and I hope it helps I'm so tired of feeling full and bloated all the time to the point where I very uncomfortable all the time drives me nuts, What a horrible feeling:( .

i do a cleanse 2 a year and i find it dose wonders. If you have been taking alot of medications, you might want to so a candidise (yeast) cleanse. medication builds up alot of yeast in your system so it is a good idea to do this.
