I just joined the forum about a week ago and i thought that maybe if i keep a journal than it would help with my motivation. I am in the begining stages of starting to lose weight, but i have said i am going to lose weight for 3 years and i never do anything about it. i did lose some the summer after graduation from high school. i was down to 115 lbs. at the time my boyfriend (whom i am still with) went to basic training and AIT for the army and i missed him a ton. so when i was used to being with him all the time and he was gone so long i just ran and ran.
I am not sure what i can do to get that feeling of "wanting to be a better me" again. at the time i was really doing for him i think. like i wanted him to say WOW when he got home (and he did). But its not really right to want to lose weight for someone else is it? i mean i do want to lose it for me but obviousely that isnt enough to get me out and to the gym. i guess i should really look at the reasons i want to lose...
1. I want to wear the cute clothes that are out there for smaller girls.
2. I dont want to have to "diet" when i go on vacation next year to look good for that, i want to look good all the time.
3. I want a healthier and stronger heart and body due to my family history.
4. I want to be healthy and fit for my kids (when i have them) to be a good roll model.
5. I want to feel better about myslef in my body.
Hopefully my reasons will help be my motivation to finally do this thing! I am so frustrated with saying i am going to lose weight and work out and then not doing anything about it. Do other people have this problem? This is my time to prove to me that i cant do it.
