Well it has been a while. I think I am just so over this program – it has been too long. Sorry I’ve been so slack. I am not depressed or anything, just fed up with the restrictions of the program. Don't anyone be put off by this - it is a great program!! It is just that it has been over a year of my life, and I am eager to move on from it. Sorry it's meant I haven't posted, but it doesn't mean I am not pleased for all your achievements and am still encouraged by all of your combined efforts.
gayegel: Thanks for asking about me. And I am still working away at it just as hard, just too weary of the program to keep focusing on it and to post. When we started our challenge you were always ahead, then the old me, and then me tagging along. The margin between us was shrinking and it still has by a couple of kilos, so both of you stay on track! We can all do this. And you gayegel will arrive before us if you keep concentrating so will be able to bring us all your valuable expertise when it comes to refeed!
L-Jay: Good to see you are riding more solidly now, and it is clicking together. Good for you.
To those who are sick – up your vitamins, keep warm, don’t give up the water (drink it warm if you need to), and stay focused. Sickness will pass.
Arowan: Congratulations on getting through refeed!! I am so thrilled for you, it is such an achievement.
Anyone who is not going to a clinic – don’t hesitate to ring or email a consultant to get the information or support that you want. Just because they are not weighing you in Melbourne, doesn’t mean that you have to miss out – give one of the clinics a ring!!
To those losing slowly – Babyegg, don’t be too discouraged, it might be a slower start on interim but at least you are moving. And gpm, as Ready to Lose says, you measure. You drink more water, change the order of the meals around, have your fruit or biscuits at a different time, make sure you take some psyllium or unprocessed wheatbran or something to keep your system moving, and then you just accept that this is your body on a healing path, and you can’t rush it! Relax and let your body do its work. Take some chromium. And sleep as well and as long as you can.
As for me, I have had 2 good weeks so 2kgs in 2wks. Now considering the 4 weeks before was only 2.3 in total, I am pleased. All is not lost! My impatience is rising, but at this stage that is to be expected, so whats to say? On the bright side, I have lost 50kgs and my goal weight is 49kgs so that is a whole person!! And it is so good to finally be 50.something too! Add on what I lost before Cohens and I can hardly believe it. These are things I am totally thrilled with.
Also I have realized something else. I am so different in shape to how I was at this weight years ago! And I am happier with this weight now than I ever was in the past. Interestingly, there are parts of my body where I think I really don’t want to lose any more. And around the shoulders and in the front above the bust I have lost a bit more than I need to. All the weight is in the lower back, the hips and stomach, the front and inside of the thighs, and in the bust. I am fascinated to watch how the body will shape itself from here. As of now my BMI is finally 25 point something! So top of a healthy BMI range. Wow! However my waist to hip ratio is still unhealthy and my waist measurement still above what they say the danger zone is. So some work to do there. Getting there - step by step!
Have a good weekend everyone,
