Kangaroo Meat
Just wondering if anyone has used Kanagroo Meat whilst on Cohens? It is classified as a LEAN red meat & has been given the National Heart Foundation's Red Tick of Approval as a healthy meat.
After eating Kanagroo meat during my recent visit to NT, my curiosity hightened to find out a little bit more about it.
The research that I've done shows Kanagroo meat has the lowest levels of fat (approx 2%), and this fat is also the highest known source of healthy fat. 40% of the fat in kangaroo meat consist of long-chain polyunsaturated fatty acid (PUFA) molecules which are believed to improve blood flow, reduce the blood’s tendency to clot, and thereby reduce the risk of heart attack and stroke.
Other benefits include high levels of protein, iron & zinc and also Low in Cholesterol, when compared to other lean meats. See attached chart that shows comparison details.
Would like to know what others think? I'm going to contact my clinic this week to confirm its Ok to have .....
