Hey girls,

It seems nothing is sacred, well to be honest, it is the internet right?

It appears that our Cohens consultants read our posts! they sit lurking in the background reading over our shoulders and not participating.

After my little discussion with the now imfamous TIM, who by the way has the title of Managing Director, I have recieved an email where he quotes from the forum.

Why they don't say anything, or join in the cnversation I have no idea.

Anyway, thanks for all you support thus far, given Tims penchant for the internet, I don't know how much I'll post in the future, however I will keep in contact with you all on email or private chat. Because thank god he can't read that! :)

HI TIM YOU TOTAL W%$NKA IF YOU AND YOUR WIFE DID THEIR JOB AND SUPPORTED THE DESERVING PEOPLE WHO FORK OUT THEIR HARD EARNED CASH TO GET HELP AND SUPPORT FOR THEIR WEIGHTLOSS THEY WOULDNT BE POSTING ON HERE FOR SUPPORT. IM SURE ROSEMARY WOULD LOVE TO HEAR YOUR IDLE THREATS OF WHAT IS GOING ON, ALOT OF PEOPLE I HAVE TALKED TO ARE VERY UNHAPPY,SO I GUESS BY WORD OF MOUTH ISNT SUCH A GOOD THING FOR YOU.

HI Cryss,

I'm about to restart to program again tomorrow and wasnt going to post until then, however read your comments and I just had to write tonight.

I'm so sorry to hear about your situation with Tim in Melb clinic, it makes me really mad. I am also from Melb and experienced him to be very unprofessional and just damn right rude when I first did the programe. I found him to be very unhelpful and he took more pleasure in accusing me of not following the program when I was having side effects yet I was following it too the T. The weight loss and blood tests proved I was. It was very clear he didnt have any answers and took pleasure out of making other people feel bad than taking responsiblity for the business he was running and getting to the bottom of it.

Just remember he is a cut throat business man interested in his next dollar rather than actually having the interest of his clients in mind. Unfortunately due to his bad ethics he is giving the Dr Cohens program a bad name. I'm sure if Dr Cohen was actually aware of how he is representing him here in Melb he would be disgusted. I think the old chat forum got closed because so many Melb people were unimpressed with the service they received and needed a place to air it, unfortunately it didnt leave a place for the desprerately needed support.

On a bright note, the side effects I was having I have found most of the solutions for them through this chat forum with the rest of the lovely, inspiring, supportive ladies here. So it fits in with the program, since following the threads on this site I have been re-inspired and see hope in getting the support from other people on the program who really know what it is like to live it rather than just read it from a Manual! I know the program does work wonders, however a big part of it is the support and this is something everyone on this site gives tremedously, it would be a shame for you to stop posting becasue of Tim.

Hang in there as you have done so well dont let one male stop you from reaching your goal.

Take care

Philippa

Hello Everyone,
Cryss - I am sure the clinic you went to for your blood tests has a tracking system, so it may be that they actually have sent your results to your cohen centre and they lost them. It's worth a phone call to see who is to blame. Either way, Dr.Cohen only needs one blood test to do a refeed program for you and you will no doubt need another one as time goes on. As for the behaviour of your clinic...they may 'solely owned' but a little reminder to them. Under a franchise/licence agreement certain aspects from the licenceee/franchisor MUST be followed. Document everything that has gone on and if they do not lift their game and assist you report them. Even if Dr.Cohen does not make moves to assist, you have other legal options open to you. Please mail me privately, if you need to pursue this. Secondly, (and this message is for the consultants who may be reading this forum), the power of the internet is endless, people who may be thinking about doing this program will research and read this forum. What this forum will do is open up the choices as to what clinic is good to go to and what isn't. A licence/franchise can be revoked if you are underperforming - believe me I see it done everyday! Customer service should be your number one priority. After all, a happy customer will tell 10 people - an unhappy one will tell 100.
Do not deviate from your program Cryss - between us all we will figure out a solution for you. (hugzzz)
Divinemissnat - your powers of reserach are amazing. Although some of the girls have not had any adverse reactions to the yogurts, I think I will stick with the original for now. I love the cinnamon apple yogurt.

Casey - sometimes depite our best intentions, sticking to the diet is near immposible. I think you did very well. It is very easy in those types of circumstances to say ' what the hell' and eat everything in sight, but you didn't. well done!

JOYSEY - My house is smelling absolutely sensational. Thank you for my lovely gift. :)

Ladies, stay positive over the next few days. It will be undoubtably the biggest test for us all with all the yummy chrissy goodies on offer and the well meaning relatives who will still insist on giving you chocolates as a gift!
You have all already come so far, have a wonderful christmas and my best wishes to you all for a happy and safe (and skinnier!) new year.

KASEYMUM: I couldn't have said it any better myself, you are 100% right and with Mysh's legal knowledge I am 100% sure Cryss will be o.k.

CRYSS: Please don't stop posting because of them. How childish of them to be reading the forum and not putting in their 2 bobs worth. Please keep in touch with us and lets have a coffee. I think I send you my number but if i didn't let me know my email is joy@finer.com.au.

WELL EVERYONE HAVE A WONDERFUL CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR AND SHALL TALK TO YOU ALL SOON.
BEST WISHES JOY

*** IMPORTANTANT NOTICE ***
Ladies, I have just been thinking. There is no doubt that Tim and anyone else using this forum for snooping will try to close us down. Please email your email address so I can then set up a special inbox for all of us that way we can email everyone privately just with a simple click, I will let you all know how to do it when I work it out but I know it can be done, that way we just have to type what ever we want in just once and it will go to everyone on the list. Sure we will keep the forum going and just add new comers as they get involved but it is just a back up just in case. Let me know your thought. If you are going to do it send me the email like the example so I know who you are.
JOYSEY
joy@finer.com.au.

Best wishes again everyone

Morning all

hey ladies and the snoops!

well all seems to be back on track for me post the Strepsils episode.

I'd struggled with hunger pains for about a week, so the mix of cold and flu drugs, the hot drinks and the Strepsils knocked me off balance, but today I feel a whole lot better.

Joysey, this tea! Now did you find this on your own, or did someone who didn't like you tell you about it? I think I'm getting used to it then WHAMMO! like a freight train out of Texas!

Is everyone prepared for Xmas Day? I figure we all knew Xmas was coming before we started, and at the time, all thought "I don't care, I can live through one day!" It's harder than it looks though, especially when you are with family who maybe don't fully understand the strictness of the program. Hang in there troops. If you can get through tomorrow and all the parties leading up to it, you can get through anything! And to prove this, I have accepted the request to make all the roast vegetables AND the Xmas Pudding AND the Stuffed Turkey! for 18 people! Glutton for punishment (pardon the pun!)

I'll post again this afternoon, off to do the last min pressie and veggie shopping.

Girls I just wanted to say that you have all been unbelievably supportive, and have made the past week, bearable, there are a few things going on other than Tiny Tim and his band of cooks in my life, and I just wanted you to know you helped get me through them this week.

Talk to you all again before the big day.

facist D&%kheads

  Hi

Reading the posts about Tims, soulds like a real wanker  !!!!!!!!!!Someone must have told him about this forum??

I wouldn't go there unless I had to(eg to pick up blood tests, you can request if from another centre you now???!!!):p

I go to Tania, cHERYL, AND jULIA in Tamworth:p :D , they are the loviest most supportive non critical people you will come across as they have been on the program and lost weight themselves, which helps because they know what you are going through.

Anyway have merry xmas and happy new year.

Hi Everyone,
Well Tim - 8 negative posts in 2 days. The ball is now in your court. You have the opportunity to assist Cryss and fix the issue at hand (as I'm positive you are not liking the negative feedback). Remember even an unhappy customer can be turned around and sing your praises if they are dealt with in an appropriate and fair manner. I have seen many franchisees/licencees lose many hundreds of thousands of dollars and their locations in major shopping complexes simply because they were too stubborn to fix minor problems. Minor problems have a way of becomming major headaches rapidly and this is the exact reason franchisors/licensors have you sign agreements. Cryss is a lovely lady who through no fault of her own has been placed in this situation. I am sure if you address the issue, you can turn her around into a customer who will give you glowing feedback.

Cryss - You are glutton for punishment!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The upside of cooking for everyone in my case is, I don't usually feel like eating once it's all done! I have invited my parents and 2 of my brothers over for lunch tommorow, but we are having salad, ham and plum pudding (which I don't particularly like anyway). I am going to grill myself up some chicken in the morning to have instead of the ham and won't touch dessert. I may or may not have half a glass of wine, but I am not really fussed.

As predicted, I did have the well meaning friend who gave me chocolates (you are skinny enough now etc etc..and I know you love chocolate) This was swiftly given to my dad who informs me that they were 'horrible and ghastly, but somebody had to eat them!! (this has been his standard response for as long as I can remember!).

I agree with Joysey, lets everyone jot down as many email addreses as we can and do a group email if necessary. Mine is mscat@bigpond.com.au Ladies in melbourne, lets get together in the new year and have a lunch.

Anyway girls, last posts before santa comes. Hope he brings you everything you desire.

Take care,

APPLE CINNAMON YOGURT

I Apple
Yogurt (allowance)
Cinnamon (limited amounts)

Microwave apples for 1 minute. Serve with yogurt and sprinkle with cinnamon.
Really yummy !!

I saw this receipe on the Cohens site after Nat mentioned it in a post, it has the option of adding sweetner / diet lemonade with it, but I find at the moment the apples are really sweet enough on their own.

My apologies for not posting this sooner - someone did ask and I got caught up in the chrissy rush.

Hi everyone,

Hope you all had a great day yesterday and that Santa was kind to you all. :)

Well I am totally off track and have had everything that is not on the program. It's very hard when there is lots of traditional italian food around and the program is not based on my mother's cooking!!!! Have to really think hard about all this as I need to stick with it and give it a good go. I am going to sit here in the next few days and read all the posts from the beginning to get that much needed motivation.

I wish everyone happy holidays and I might go to the shops later and have a look at the sales.

Take care,
Cathy

Hello Girls!

Hello Everyone,
RAJAH - I quite often go back and read the posts, even its only a few pages. It really is amazing to see how far everyone has come. I am sure it will be all the motivation you need!

Christmas day was a disaster as far as food goes for me.
I got caught behind with time and ended up having some ham at lunch instead of my grilled chicken and then I topped it off with a slice of plum pudding & ice cream. I thought I would be able to resist the pudding, but it smelt really really good. I also had a couple of chocolates and some potato chips. Didn't drink much water either.:(
Wasn't very happy with myself when I jumped on my scales this morning either. :(

I am back on track today however.:)

My mum had bought me new scales that weigh in 100 gm lots instead of my 500gm ones. There is a 4 kilo difference, so I have decided that I will stick with my old ones until I go on the refeed and then switch to better monitor weight changes.

I went out for the boxing day sales today. OMG.where do all these people find the money? I spent 35 mins in Myers trying to get an exchange on a pair of track suit pants. Couldn't be bothered with the crowds after that and left!
I have bought a few new pieces of clothing, but still want to get down a bit further before spending up.

Our court had a chrissy party on Friday night and I recieved some lovely comments from my neighbours who I really don't see all that much. I got told I look like a teenager again! (If only I had the wrinkle free face to match!). It really does wonders for your self esteem.

How did everyone go with Christmas lunch/dinner?

Stayed on track for Xmas Day

Somehow, I stayed on track for Xmas Day. Weighed everything, and ate foods im allowed. Tolerated comments from relatives like 'what are you going to munch on, a lettuce leaf?"

I smelt the baked dinner with the potatoes, pumpkin, carrot & peas. Watched the kids nibble on lollies & chips, admired the lovely decorative work my nan had done on the Christmas cake, was seated directly in front of a lemon mirang pie whilst I ate my turkey & salad allowance, had to excuse myself from the table when the plum pudding with brandy sauce got served..... DAMN IT !

in between all that, only managed to gulp down 'bout 2L of water, ..but I survived...

Got a nice water cooler from my parents for chrissy, so I've set that up in the kitchen this mornig and been drinking from it all day.......

I ended up being 3.5kg from my xmas goal, but I'm hoping to loose 2kg of that this week before the new year kicks in. I've set myself a goal for the end of January, ie. 100kg, who knows, a miracle might happen, I might crack the double digits!! :) :) :)

Whats everyone doing on NY eve?

loose is the word!

hey team,

well it was as close as it could ahve gotten.

turkey is on the list for me (very happy about that) so turkey salad omit the cranberry! Pass on the pudding and pass me the mango!

bit o beef and salad at night, and I made it, water was my friend.

Sounds like a perfect day? yes, well add to that a couple of mouthfulls of champas and you see past the rose coloured glasses.

But you know what, today is another day and we are all working towads a goal. Mel will be waiting for me! I'd better get my S&*%T together don't want to keep her waiting too long!

talk to you all soon!

love and hugs!!

CRYSS: I actually found the tea about 10 years ago and have been having it ever since, glad I found a great bunch of ladies to share it with. Yes, freight train express....When youv'e gotta, go, you've gotta go......
Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas.
Best wishes to all from JOY

Hi Everyone,
I have a question/query.

You know how we are not allowed to take Centrum or vitamins that have have have Lactose in them because it slows down weight loss........well today I noticed that the Paradise crackers we are eating have lactose in them. Joysey, this backs up your theory about the crackers slowing the weight loss down too.

I am wondering if taking Centrum could be offset by cutting down/out the crackers?

What an inspiration you all are!

:D Hi everybody.... I have been following your messages for a couple of weeks...I signed up for Cohens in early December but it took a couple of weeks to get my program, so was set to start on boxing day - picked a bad day, however by Wednesday I was well on track... and have been following my plan religiously.... I am finding meals a little difficult as I'm not used to eating meat daily, now i'm looking at twice daily, and I don't like the amounts of cheese - too much, the apple youghurt us delicious though... ah well... you all sound so positive and committed, I actually visited this site on Monday night to find my motiviation!! - Thanks! Pdf
