Clean Diet? What is it?

I read in the post "serious question about poop" that they were on the "clean diet". What is that or is it just the "correct" way to eat?

Do a search on the forums for more details, but it is basically eating foods in their most natural state and avoiding all processed foods, sugars, white flours and other refined grains.
 
a clean diet is a healthy balance of all nutrients. no junk food, pop, or empty calories, its not that hard to have a clean diet... jsut dont buy the bad foods
 
i eat them everyday for lunch so i guess i should be cutting them out...do u think thats a reson why im not losing any weight
 
I dont undertand this....Someone tells me pretzels would be fine to eat for lunch and now someone is telling me they arent clean?? Are they making me not lose Weight??

Breakfast: 1 Cup of Special K Cereal and 1 Cup of Kashi Go Lean with fat free skim milk
Lunch: 2 slices of 100% whole wheat bread with mustard, turkey, and lettuce, with 6 strawberries, low calorie and low sugar no fat jello, and 3 Sourdough hard pretzels 0g of fat in them...
Snack: Apple
Dinner: Steak, Chicken, or Fish...With Veggies, baked potato *every night i have a baked potato* With Wild Rice with added carrots into it
Snack an hour before bed (sometimes) An Apple

I dont have time to eat snacks throughout the day because im at school...

Thats mostly what i eat during the Week...Weekends are different becase on saturday's i have my cheat meal....Hey i have another question Next Saturday the day before easter or on Sunday could i eat 4 Snicker Easter Eggs and Cookies and milk as my cheat meal or should i just eat one or the other everyone tell me please??? And Tell me about my Daily Meal Plan on what you think.
 
Manderus, you seem to post the same questions very frequently. Why don't you do a search on all the posts you've written, take note of all the responses, and figure something out yourself?
 
I told you I eat pretzels all the time and I do lose weight. I never told you they were clean, I just told you that I eat them and lose weight.
 
I know i ask the same questions sometimes but sometimes no one answers them only but one person..and thats not the same questions as i have asked before because my meal plan is different from weeks ago.
 
i would definitely skip the "cheat meal" you mentioned, that will contain an incredibly large amount of fats and sugars. even a cheat meal should be within reason.

if you're not losing weight i would cut back the calories even more. not easy but necessary.
 
i only feel guilty when i eat alot of junk food ( havent for a very long time ). but when i eat a crap load of meat, milk, cottage cheese, beans..etc etc im like yay! and it bothers me when people say they cant gain weight....that is just freakin crap. if you eat hearty foods you will gain for dam sure.
 
wasnt a cheat meal ;) just was really dam hungry. my mom was BBQing a brisket on the grill, and the smell for it for hours....was just brutal. and i guess i was wrong. i didnt even gain any weight. so in some cases, i guess it could be harder for some people :confused: i thought i would forsure gain some weight, but i guess my full body was enough for that day....crazy, but makes me happy :rolleyes:

ok what is this? I wish the schools would teach common sence then you would'nt see questions like this. maby this would be helpfull for you it's just a list of nutrients and some foods there found in, but I have a feeling this is definatly somthing you should read several times, and see if you got all you need in your diet. my advice would be to eat whatever is consistant with your goals, if you don't really care that much and you want to eat a candy bar fine then do it eat all you want all the time. but if your trying to loose weight or gain weight we can only tell you how to go about it the rest is up to you little man.
 
you can eat anything you want. but IMO no, that wouldnt be a cheat meal. it's not a meal, it's a bunch of high fat chocolate. why would you want to eat all that, anyway?

You are definitely eating healthy, but if you want to lose weight, I think you need to decrease your caloric intake.

One thing I noticed about my diet is that I ate healthy, but my weight was going down extremely slowly. I lowered my calories from like 2000 to 1300, and my weight just came off like crazy. Of course, you shouldn't keep on eating that low, but to get yourself out of a plateau, by all means, decrease your calories.

a couple suggestions: limit to one apple a day... try to stay away from steak for dinner... oh yeah, and also, dun eat veggies with baked potato and wild rice. just stick with veggies.
 
dam kwanny, your killin me. i eat steaks as my fat+protein meal. and when i need to lose that weight, i still lose it. i guess that could be just me though. and i eat several peices of fruit a day. not to say your wrong or anything, cause i dont know the scientific basis for eating no fruit, but why you say eat 1 fruit a day?
