Clean and Jerk

I am training with my friend, I am better than him at Squat and Deadlift, but he is better than me in bench and clean and jerk. He does have short arms that helps with both of those, but I dont want to make any exuses. What exercises should I do to increase my clean and jerk. The hardest part for me is the jerk(putting the weight overhead), i can never lock out right away, party of it is because i have long arms. Any help would be great.
 
Clean and jerking is probably the best exercise you could do to get better at the clean and jerk. I know it sounds so simple and stupid, but training the CNS is the easiest/fastest way to get stronger.
 
yupp.. rule of thumb, if you want to get better at something, practice it. Often we look at other ways to increase our lifts/sport preformance than actually DOING what we need to get better at.
