I was a bit sceptical about using the jawbone, however, I think it is the gentle reminder to keep moving that I need.
Well it's 07:50 gmt so rise and shine people.

I have had a look online and it is accurate within about 5% so I am happy with the figures, plus it went on today and I went for a run this morning and walk at lunch and it records everything, the walk I mapped on map my run which showed it as 1.51 miles the jawbone showed the walk as 1.52 miles.

Like I was saying to LaMaria, I am using the Jawbone as a bit of encouragement to challenge myself, as I tend to work 12-8 I have some time from about 9.15 after the school run, so rather than putting my feet up for 5 mins which has became 30 mins or more, I have gone for a couple of mile run around the outskirts of the village, taking me about 20 mins, quick shower and I feel really energised, crack on with a couple of housework jobs and off to work. Then at work as nice as the people are my lunch is 45 mins, so I have been walking for a couple of miles around the business park for about 25-30 mins then back for 15 mins to eat my salad. far more productive.

You are doing really well! I like the gentle reminder to move that the fitness watches provide. I like keeping an eye on my heart rate too. Well done on getting moving in the mornings. I wake up sloth-like :(

I have no choice but to be up for the school run, but I used to get home and put on a box set on sky for a couple of episodes with a can of coke and some biscuits. now I have started going out for a run and when I get back I feel in a good place mentally to be productive.

How has your food intake changed in the evenings? I can always be good during the day but find snacking in the evening hard!

Better than it was, I am ok at work until usually 8 so home for 8.30. if I heat up soup etc I wont snack but a couple of times I have had little jellies off the kids. however, I say better as we are now approaching 3 weeks without a takeaway. my wife and I would have previously for ease had chinese or a kebab, so although it is something I am working on it is better

I know I said yesterday was rest day and no run, but I got back from work and felt withdrawl.
This is really odd, I know I have an adictive personality and that has made kicking pop (soda) and junk food difficult so I am glad it has worked in my favour and I am becoming addicted to running.

:) Quercus (From alpha testing to the Quercus 2000) is coming up on his 2 year daily running streak right around now; I say there are worse things to do with your body!

I have decided as I dont have an advent calendar, I am going to do an advent run. aiming for 2 miles/20 minutes, then as/if I improve keep it around 20 mins but increase distance.

Two miles a day as a baseline is a lot, but if you used to do a lot of running it may well be perfect for you. Best of luck with your advent run!
