AHello! Very new. Started my journey in November 2011 at 180 lbs. I am 5'2 so was clinically obese and feeling terrible. I joined weight watchers and my current weight is

...163. Woot woot! I get weighed in an hour so hopefully it will be less...

I struggle with sweets and I come close to binges. So far I have learned I am addicted to food.

This is what I have been doing
1. Tracking,
2. High fiber, high protein, lots of fruits and veggies
3 NO ARTIFICIAL SWEETENERS. If I want yogurt I will eat it with the sugar.
4. Lots of exercise. At least 30 min 6 days a week. Sometimes a lot more

My goal is a 5k in May.
I just turned 37 a few days ago and want this to be my healthiest year ever. I was always very thin. Normal weight until about 32. Around this time I noticed I was getting fat. Turns out I has hypothyroidism. Went on synthroid but kept eating and soon weighed 150. I just didn't care. I had not weighed myself for almost a year and finally in November decided I would rather live.

So, now I am 163 lbs and heading down. My goal weight is 125.

Hi Chubbypearl. I don't like artificial sweeteners either. Have you tried Stevia? It's natural, but it can be expensive. Almost all of the yogurt available where I live has artificial sweeteners unless you get the plain kind. There is a Greek yogurt I get occasionaly that has sugar in it. I love that stuff. The problem I have though is adding granola to it.

Congratulations on your weight loss so far.

wow keep going!

I'd love to join weight watchers, but as a student I am very poor haha :)

What's good about you is that you exercise, thats the problem which most people face I think. Most of the time I go out to jog but get self consious and go back inside.. Just keep doing what youre doing and you will get to your goal!!!

Congratulations on your loss chubby girl! I also have a problem with sweets unless I set my mind to abstain from them. I once went a month with no sweet tastes and lost 10lbs without exercise. Good luck on your journey!
