Well hello folks, here I am back again, repeating the same old cycles.

When I first joined a few years ago I made massive strides, I was then made redundant and fell off the waggon.

I then tried to start again and guess what another redundency another hurdle to overcome.

Well I have taken time to settle in to a new post and I had noticed I had neglected myself so this is Chubby Geordie v3.0.

So I didn't balloon as much as I feared or that it felt, but my starting point is 207.6lbs, so above where I want to be but under 15 stone (210lbs) so added bonus.

Q&A

I am from England

It's pronounced jore-dee

Target weight is 175lbs

Aim at 1lb per week

No fad diets just daily exercise (about 30 mins per day)

Cutting out snacks and 3 square meals per day.

See you all on the journey.

Well day 1 starts with porridge (made with oats and water and a pinch of sultanas) and a glass of water.

I want to make an acceptable breakfast part of my routine instead of the feast or famine of the last year.

Welcome back Geordie. That sounds like an excellent & sustainable plan. Add a little protein into that breakfast & it will be better balanced & more filling. I add about a tablespoon of almond meal, which is about 50 calories.

Hello petal, I shall have to check your diary. Hope you are doing well.

Day 2. Went better than expected. Avoided snacking by leaving money at home. Had a nice 30 minute run and chicken and lentil curry with boiled rice for tea.

Well the end of week 1
202.8 lbs
4.8lbs down
I know a bit will be water but happy with the start, so just stick to 1lb a week.

Still going well
Started a small scale July personal challenge
Day 1
10 push ups
10 sit ups
Then add 1 per day to get in to a routine.
Off to Beamish today should be good in the sun.

Great personal challenge Geordie. I'm doing something similar, but am not capable of proper push ups! Good for you!
