Chubby Face

I have recently started to work out due to the fact that I have noticed that my face has been getting chubby. I am 20 years old, 5' 11" and weight 192lbs, you wouldn't think I would weight that much if you saw me. I have always have had a full face but it is starting to come to the point where I don't care for it. I have used the calorie calculator to see what amount I should be taking in to get the right effects for fat lose. My routine is pretty simple 50 sit ups in the morning (trying to loose a little bit of weight around my stomach and strengthen my abs) follwed by a 30min (approx 8miles) ride on a stationary bike changing the levels of tension after every mile. From there I try to eat healthy and stay with in my coloric intake the calculator has suggested. At night I do the same routine. I know you can not target fat loss, however I have heard that where you put on fat last is the first place you loose it, is this true, because it is my face where I have notice the fat? Also is there anything I should be doing to help drop some pounds, I would like to get down to 175-180.

Thanks

If that's just the way your face is shaped, then get used to it. Some girls like chubby faces. But as far as fat loss goes, never neglect the importance of a good diet. And doing situps wont make you lose fat around your waste, it will only increase your ab strength. When you do an exercise, it doesn't burn fat in just the specific area that is being trained.

yupp, spot reduction is a myth.

HIIT is the best cardio for fat loss, it burns everything but not muscles and protin (which you dont want to burn) search HIIT on the forum if you dont know what it is :)

and yeah, diet is everything.

umm to lose facial fat you would have to run alot. I dont care what anyone says about losing weight in specific areas. But if you wanna lose your facial fat just run man. I had the same problem. Then i just started running. For about 3 weeks. I started to see my cheek bones but yet i was still a fat ass.

Ive had the same issue its all genetic(thanks to a German grandfather)but Ive learned at 200lbs and 15%bf is a big differance then 205 and soft.I find in my case its not weight but the type of weight. However at 165lbs it wasnt an issue at all but i do not want to weigh 165lbs at 5'11"

Everyone is different and will respond differently. My face starts to get pudgy too when I gain weight, and it does go down as I lose weight, but it takes a while. It pretty much sucks that we have no control over where we will gain/lose fat on our bodies, no matter what we do.

that is genetics, and yes, u have no control where fat is stored but u have the power to reduce fat all over ur body. by cardio mixed with a routine to workout your whole body

You can't isolate your face from the rest of your body. If your body is getting bigger then the face will look bigger too. However some people are less prone to look chubby although they do have fat but hey it's genetics. So your face is fine and it just may be different from other faces due to your genes. Nothing is wrong with that.

ugh! im the same way =( =(

i use to be 154 and 5'2.....and i lost weight within a year or more... and i was 117 5'2.... really lean...but the chubby face stayed...... =( and now im weight a lil bit more then 117 and i still have the face.... lol..when itake picz i take the famous "myspace" picz holding the camera from above...so it looks like im thin...but i am thin! darn it lol :|

I'm right with you there...
I recently have noticed that my face has gotten a lot rounder over the past year. I haven't put on much weight other than that, it's only noticeable in my face. I used to have a really pretty defined face and just in one year it's changed. I'm a big athlete, and I'm on a diet right now, but will eating healthier and continuing my exercise help me lose fat in my face? What else could I do? I'm ready to try anything other than serious surgeries, etc.
Thanks!

i've always been lean but recently ive noticed a reduction in my facial fat. How I did this? Basically a mix of cycling and triathlon training, but with a fair amount of HIIT in my training
