Thanks Mal~ This is info that was very much so needed.

According to my calculations I need 2,068 to maintain. So I subtracted 30% and came up with no less than 1,448 calories to lose weight.
Sounds like alot to me, but what do I know! This is my new cal goal.

Korrie~ Thanks for welcoming me back with open arms! I need all the help I can get!

Trusylver~ I have had great results in the past doing Tae Bo every morning and Pilates every evening . My plan is to start with Tae Bo for a couple weeks and then working in the Pilates.
My only problem is I have come up with every excuse under the sun not to do anything yet.... Ugh... just do it right? Pain is gain right? Then whats wrong with me?

Okay,
yesterday for dinner I had a Turkey Brat and watermelon.
OH and one Corona light with lime.

Today is up in the air.
I've already had:

1 dannon Light and Fit Vanilla Yogurt (60 cals)
3 tblspns Bear Naked granola (105 cals)
 
Nothings wrong w/you Christina. I'm going through the same thing. Loosing weight is hard...really really hard. I've finally accepted it is something I will have to work on everyday for the rest of my life. It really does require a lifestyle change.

I've heard before that people will say 'ok, this week, i vow to eat a healthy breakfast" and then do that for a week, then the next week, a healthy breakfast and lunch, and so on, adding a new goal each week or two. This is whats hard..the concept behind it is GREAT, slow and steady wins the race. but I know that us girls like to get the weight off fast, so we go on this big diet instead..and you know the rest of the story.

Its hard hun, but we have each other. U wanna buddy up for a week or so? We can be totally accountable to each other as far as what we eat and excersize and such. Just an idea.

One thing that made it easier for me to exercise daily was this:
I really liked coming to this forum, to read and post, to get help and give. So I started saying to myself, "okay, I will not sign-in until AFTER I did TaeBO. This was great cause it was an immediate "reward" to excercise. Instead of working your ass off (literally) and having to wait WEEKS for the "reward".... It's like playing a game with yourself.

I've just lasted a week with my new (not)eating-habbit.
Well, eating, just not ALL THE TIME! (and eating "healthier")
Monday I will start Tae Bo in the morning before I sign in here.

Maybe this can work for you Korrie!!! Or anyone else who gets stuck in a rut.
(you can use different things to reward yourself, like signing into Myspace or anything else...)lol


L= salad w grilled chicken breast, croutons and light italian dressing,
20oz siarra mist (very rare, I usually do not drink pop).
1 french fry (from daughter) I have to learn how to tell her "no thank-you".

20 oz water with 2 slices lemon, 2 slices lime

AND earlier I had 1 cup coff w/ cream and 2 cookies :doh: :doh:

D= not sure yet.....
 
hey, thats a good idea, use comming here as a reward. Its alot easier to come here and say "hey i did my workout" instead of 'yea, i'm gonna do it in a bit" you know?

I'll have to start that! GREAT JOB eating better for a full week!!! I bet next week will be even better!!

Ok, I have not been here for a few days... Sunday I got my monthly... (sorry for being personal but it is my diary) :rolleyes: We have our ok months and our bad months... this was a very very bad month. A few Pamprins later and I was off the couch and hanging outside with my daughter by the pool. This was the first day this year that we did not use sunscreen. BAD IDEA! We both got a pretty bad burn. So with bad cramps and a bad burn, I was not about to start my exercise on Monday. I also missed yesterday, which is why I haven't signed in. But I'm here today which means...

I DID TAE BO TODAY! :jump: :jump: :jump:

my menu was doing pretty well. HOWEVER, I did give in to 2 cravings yesterday....
a small bag of cheetos (salt fix) and a hostess cupcake (sugar fix):eek2: :eek: :doh: :mad: :cry:

As you can see it set my emotions rolling... BUT I did not ALLOW it to go any further. I am back on track.

And let me tell you, sweating like a pig after tae Bo feels AWESOME!
And, I think I may have lost a pound or two. I will not know until I go to the doctor next week.
Last week I was 209 on his scale so we'll see what it says. He wanted me to loose weight... I hope I did it. I hope I did.....

I've also decided that my reward for losing 20 pounds will be another tattoo..

a small bag of cheetos is better than the 9 ounce bag, so you took care of your craving iwith a reaasonable portion - ATTA GIRL! Ditto the cupcake...

I'd call success on that :D

Just a quick note. To keep busy, My daughter and I visit the library alot. This way I stay busy and completely away from food. At the same time my daughter gets great practice at reading over the summer. Our library is awesome, they have FREE drop in craft days, and "wear you shades" day (you get a prize for wearing your sunglasses) and lots of book clubs. Plus Allyson bumps into alot of her friends there, which is nice cause where we live, we have no neighbors that are in walking distance.

I am in a great mood. I got a "woo-hoo" from some guy as I was driving. (always a great boost of self esteem)
And when I got the mail, I received a birthday card (early) from my best friend. She sent me a gift certificate to LANE BRYANT! I am so excited and can not wait to spend it!!!! I love Layne Bryant. I lov my best friend.
Okay, now I sould like a little school girl or something.
Maybe turning 29 isn't so bad after all. :rolleyes:

I had a cookie with my coffee this morning.... I like having something to dip in my coffee in the morning... any better suggestions? I really would like to get away from the cookies!

so we ran all of our arrands and this was the first time I left Lane Bryant with a bag of goodies and felt so super good about it!
With the gift card from my BFF (lol) I got a CUTE pair of capris, a VERY CUTE top, AND 2 (not 1, but 2) Bra's ! ! ! ! I love Clarance, I love Lane Bryant, I love my BFF, I love spending money...... oh, I guess we all do.
(I'm not loving turning 29 right now though..... hmm.. we'll see how I feel tomorrow once it's official!)

I can't wait till toms gone so I can do a #10,
great workout..... (work off those fries)

if you like cookies, or the hardness of the cookie to dunk, biscotti are fairly low in calories and fat (depending on what brand you get) and are great for dunking into coffee... and super hard too...

Even some of the sara lee brand of cookies, like the breakfast treats might be in your calorie range...

But you mght want to try whole grain toast, with some peanut butter for added protein (the protein helps me with that fullness feeling)

OKAY..... The Weekend Report.... NOT GOOD!

I had Ice Cream, Three times.... Went to TGIF on Friday for my b-day.
Went to Dennys on Saturday, went out to Breakfast on Sunday... Orderd out last night I GOT A SALAD (only great choice all weekend, I was staring at the pizza they got though)
I made better choices than I would have 3 months ago, but I feel I could have made better choices than I did...

BUT today is MONDAY and I am back on it.
I did not do Tae Bo, but I cut the grass for 2 hours and I still have about one more hour of cutting to go. GREAT EXERCISE!

B= rice crispies, strawberries, skim milk

Went to the Doc today. Still don't understand what's wrong with me. But we're working on it. So far it may all be because I am Obese, as the doc would put it.

On the possitive side, I 've lost 3 pounds. I was hoping for more but Doc said it was a very healthy loss and to keep at it. Slow and steady, progressively love the weight.

D= not sure yet

Exercise= shopping, lots of walking... parked far in the lot...
Hopefully Tae Bo sometime today...

Niapage~ I liked how you separated your goals with Halloween and X-mas.. I like it so much I decided to do it too!!

This is in hoping I can lose 2 lbs a week, 23 weeks. Is that too high of a goal?
OMG, If I can get between 160-170 by christmas ,I will be SOOO flippin' happy....
I believe I can do this. Breaking it down seems so much more realistic.
