Hey everyone!

I haven't had a chance to get to the boards in a few days, with the new job and all. Crazy busy!!

I went off the deep end big time last week. :eek: I went out to eat at least 5 or 6 times, and pretty much ate whatever I wanted -- and didn't workout at all...

I've been slipping lately, and I'm not really happy about that. I definitely feel alot better when I'm eating right and working out, so this week I intend to get back to that!

I've gained some weight back, I'm back up to 206. :( But, what could I expect considering the way I've been eating?! Summer is rapidly approaching, so I've gotta get back on track.

Anyways, the Big Money Challenge is here, so I'm amped up for that! I'm eating right and going to the gym tonight! :D

Good Attitude Chris! Thanks for your post in my journal. I really hope we can motivate eachother to get right back on track and STAY there. :D

I did well yesterday, certainly better than any day I had last week! :p

For lunch yesterday I went to a barbeque place with some new co-workers. It was a higher calorie lunch than I had planned on, but I needed to go, and I still watched what I ate.

I went to the gym last night! 20 minutes of cardio and 20 minutes of weights! Then my wife and I had Subway for dinner, and took a 45 minute walk afterwards. :)

Feels good to be back on track!
 
Wow Chris you're doing awesome!! I wasn't as good yesterday ,so I envy your good behavior. :) Kudos to you!!

So keep us posted on how you like this new job! :) I'm waiting to hear back on my interview this week, so I can't wait. I'll live vicarously through your good fortune! ;)
 
I LOVE my new job!! This place is a complete 180 from my last job. I used to do software development for a real estate lawfirm, but now I'm doing software development for an advertising agency! The work is alot more fun to say the least. :)

The work environment is completely different as well. I'm used to business dress -- but here you can wear whatever, t-shirt and flip flops is totally acceptable. They've also got a "critter club" where you can bring your dogs to work. Alot of people do it, but they have well behaved dogs, mine are too bad!! :p

Its my fourth day, and I'm loving it so far. I've still got ALOT to learn, but I'm having a great time. I'm also getting used to the schedule, so I'm able to work my gym routine back in. :)
 
Chris that is so awesome!!! Congratulations again to you. :) Its so nice to have an excelent change of pace! And a critter club, that's too funny. I would love if I worked in an environment that allowed that. Of course.. my dogs are too naughty also. heehehe..

Oh, I'll be joining you May 1st on the new job front! Got an offer this afternoon! Yippe!

I'm glad you found a job you like Chris, becase that just makes the work go all the faster :) Keep up the good work!
 
Thanks everybody! :) I really am digging my new job, I'm having a blast so far.

I met up with some people from work last night, so I didn't make it to the gym. I stuck to my guns though and ate right!

Yesterday's menu:

Breakfast:
Zonebar - 210 calories

Lunch:
Turkey sandwich - 261 calories
Yogurt (light) - 100 calories
Small Orange - 45 calories

Dinner:
Stouffer's Stir Fry - 300 calories


I didn't quite get my 1200 calories in, but I'd rather do that than go way over. :p

I made a quick trip to the gym last night. I wasn't really up for a full workout, but I did 10 minutes on the elliptical, 10 minutes of weights, and some crunches on the ball. At least I made the trip! :p

Tonight I plan on staying for a full session (at least 40 minutes or so).

They're starting a weightloss contest here at work next Monday, I'm gonna jump in on that as well, it'll line up with the Big Money Challenge almost perfectly. Now I'll have two reasons to stay on track! :)

Tomorrow I'm going to six flags with some friends. I might slip up a little bit on the diet, but at least I'll be doing plenty of walking! ;)

Sunday I'll be *really* good, since Monday's weigh-in. :)
 
Hey everybody. I'm still struggling with motivation, but I'm trying to get things kicked back into gear.

On Saturday we went to Six Flags, so I did plenty of walking -- however, I had fast food for every meal. :( Chick-Fil-A for breakfast, McDonalds for lunch, and Taco Bell for dinner. So that pretty much negated all that walked. :eek:

Yesterday I was pretty sore from all that, so I didn't do much.

I weighed myself this morning, and I'm at 205.5, thats down a half-pound, but I'm gonna leave my ticker where its at. I want to be able to move it after *earning* it. :)

I forgot my gym cloths, so I guess I'm not going to the gym tonight, but maybe my wife and I will go for a walk later on.

Still struggling, but hanging in there. :p
 
We're doing a 6-week weightloss challenge here at work, and we just did weigh-in. (I'm 205 according to the scale here). This has kinda boosted my motivation, so hopefully I can stick with it! :D
 
Chick-Fil-A? I've never even heard of that place, is it one of those places that you only find within the park grounds?

In any case, good on you for at least getting some exercise in if you can't get to the gym!
 
OOh we've got a Chik-Fil-A here.. but I've never eaten there. Just picked up an ice tea from there for a friend yesterday. Funny! :)

Anyhow.. that is SO exciting your doing a weight-loss challenge at work. Since a lot of people find work to be their bad temptation place. So that just rocks! I think you may hit that 185 goal before 5/15 Chris at this rate. You're doing SO great!! :)
