lol! Thanks redneckwoman, I'm a guy, but thats okay, I appreciate the support!
Last night I didn't go to the gym, but my wife and I went for a nice 45 minute walk. I wasn't really that hungry last night, so I had a salad and a zonebar for dinner. Kind of weird combination, but it works for me!
Someone at work today came up to me and said, "Wow, I can really tell you've lost weight!" So that right there just made my day!
What a nice compliment you received!! I bet it did make your day! Its crazy, because I still find it hard to notice the difference in myself when I look in the mirror. But when someone else notices......it just makes me feel awesome!
Glad you got the chance to enjoy this nice Texas weather with a walk last night. I am loving the warm temps. Its just the pollen now that is killing me!! Allergies!! And the pollen is everywhere......you can write your name in my car which is currently covered in yellow pollen dust! Can't wait for it to go away. I think it is supposed to rain tonight...maybe that will help.
Keep up the awesome work! You have been so committed and determined! Great job!!
I made it to the gym last night; however, it was a condensed version of my normal workout. My wife's birthday is on Saturday, so I had to run a few errands after work.
Tonight my mother is taking us out to dinner to a mexican restaurant. (seems to be a recurring theme, huh?) So anyways, I'll probably have a few chips & salsa, then a grilled chicken breast. We're also going out to dinner for my wife's birthday on Saturday, and I'll have to be good that night as well!
If I weren't on a diet here lately, I could easily be up to over 230 by now!
As I mentioned yesterday, we had mexican food last night. I had some chips & salsa, grilled chicken breast, and a margarita. So this morning I'm feeling kinda sluggish and bloated.
I'm really going to hit the gym hard this afternoon. I need a good workout to make me feel better.
And, as always, lets see if I can survive another Friday lunch! Yay willpower!
Chris, you're doing such an amazing job. And not to knock women, but I'm really impressed for a guy who much you resist food! Its just very impressive, most men would blow of "dieting" and things like that as being girly etc. So.. I just love that you're doing so incredibly well. Really you inspire me! Keep up the wonderful work and have a great weekend!! You are going to be under 200 in no time!!
Wow, thanks newleaf, that means alot. I'm really determined to make this happen. I haven't always been this motivated.. Usually I'm "gung-ho" for the first week and it all goes down hill from there.
This forum has really helped me to stay on track, so thanks again.
Hey Tempest,
That's how you can tell that you've changed. U know? When you eat something that is bigger than normal or more greasy, you get bloated or even worse, you get heart burn...
It's a good motivator to remind us how far we've come!
Kudos on wanting to get to the gym and kicking last nights dinner in the rear!
Hope your Friday lunch went well. Hope your willpower held strong!
Have a great weekend! See ya on Monday!.....................Cabana
Man, I was getting pretty worried about weigh-in today.. It was my wife's birthday on Saturday, so we went out to dinner on Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday!
I went to the gym Friday after work, and we went for a nice long walk on Saturday.
But...I still lost 3 pounds last week!!
That puts me at 205. This weekend was kinda crazy, so I'm ready to get back into my routine, so I'm headed back to the gym tonight.
I made it to the gym last night! I need to get back into my solid workout routine. Last night I did 20 minutes on the elliptical, 15 minutes of weights, and 10 minutes on the ball.
...but I still felt kinda sluggish through the entire workout.. I'm not sure if its lack of motivation or lack of energy -- or perhaps both.
Oh well, I'm headed to the gym again tonight. Hopefully I'll get out of my sluggish-funk.
Yikes! Its been a while since I stopped in. Sorry Congrats on the loss! Thats great! I hope your "sluggish-funk" is cured soon Keep up the great work! Hope you have a wonderful day
I love the melting pot. I went there for the first time two years ago with my best freind when i was visiting her in florida. I havent been back since but it was awesome! What a way to celebrate...and congrats on your new job!
Last night I went to the gym for a little while, but I was feeling *really* sluggish, so I played basketball for about 15 minutes, then did 10 minutes on the elliptical. After that I was just tired and achy. I didn't get much sleep the night before, so maybe thats why.
I had a good night's sleep last night, and I'm feeling better today. I'm headed to the gym tonight, and hopefully it'll go a little better.
Hey - atleast you got there! I think you did great.. way to go on the job - i' so happy for you. It's nice to have a celebreation night out hey? Ohhh.. I have 5 more days until mine!
I had a major moment of weakness last night. I really wasn't feeling like going to the gym, so I just headed home after work. Then we were trying to decide what to have for dinner. Well, we decided on mexican food..
So, I had chips & queso, enchiladas, and a margarita.
I can't let myself slip back into my old ways. I'm trying to fight it! Hopefully this is all out of my system and I can continue down my path to hitting 185 by May. I gotta stay focused!
Well, I'm going to officially label last week as "weak-week". Because that pretty much sums up everything. I was weak and gave in to just about every temptation that I faced. I don't know why, but the wheels just came off completely. It seems to go in a downward spiral too, like, "Well, I cheated yesterday, might as well cheat tonight." and "Well, I cheated twice this week, might as well enjoy my weekend and eat what I want."
I'm not proud of it, but thats pretty much what happened.
But! Today's Monday and I'm getting a fresh start. I skipped weigh-in this week, so I'll weigh-in next Monday. I feel recharged and ready to knock out these last 20 pounds, I can still make it by summer!
Chris- I think you and I both had a feeling of downwardsness last week..>Im with you too on the cheat thing. We can do this and we will...fresh week starts today so kick in gear and lets get moving!
