Chris B's Weekly Weigh-in

Hey Tempest,:p
I'm with you on the weak thing. Ever since meeting my 1st goal, I think I've been a little laxed. Kinda just not eating the right kinds of food. Like the other day we went to eat and instead of eating a salad, I ate an enchilada. Or even worse, last night for dinner I ate a sliver of carrot cake (with cream cheese frosting,,,,mmmmmm) and a spoon of ice cream.

But I think inorder for us to continue we need to add some kind of variety. Even if it means eating something we enjoy--we just need to eat a reasonable amount of it. I'm still losing weight, just at a slower pace. But I'm back on track like you as well. So this week, I'm going to try and be strong!
LETS DO IT! We've come to far to completely give up. :)

And think about that beach bod you want. Now thats motivation:D
Hope you have a great day! Make good food choices!;) Cabana

What was it about last week that we all had a 'weak-week'? Must be something in the air! Last week wasn't my best week either. I didnt do terribly with calories, but I ate out a lot and it was all fast food, because we were out of town. I dont even want to know what the fat content was!

I know what Cabana means though. I have been feeling the same in a way. I have lost 21 pounds since the beginning of the year, and I have felt in a bit of a slump here recently. Not so much that I am going to go all out and eat and gain the weight back, but more like I dont feel like I have to lose the weight as fast as I have been. Hmm....hope that made sense.

But I am making an effort this week to get back on track!! I dont want to slack to the point that I stop losing weight all together. I am hoping to jump start my weight loss program again, before I get too complacent.

Thats one reason I love this place! When I need motivation-- I cant think of a better place to be! :)

Keep up the great work. We will all get back on track this week!! :)

Thanks Cabana and Fluff, I think we're always going to have rough weeks, but we've just gotta remember to bounce back. This is my 9th week into my diet, I've made it this far, so I'd be a fool to give up now!

Yesterday felt great:

Breakfast
1 Zonebar - 210 calories

Lunch
1 Turkey StirFry - 400 calories

Snack
1 Apple - 80 calories

Dinner
1/2 Guiltless Grilled Chicken Platter - 400 calories

I made it to the gym as well. 20 minutes of cardio, 20 minutes of weights, and 10 minutes on the ball.

Now lets make a week of it! :D

I took the night off from the gym last night. We had a going away lunch for a buddy at work, so I wasn't really feeling up for a workout.

Work is really stressing me out, but I just keep telling myself, only 4 more days of this! I start my new job next Thursday, and I can't wait! :)

I'm headed to the gym tonight, gotta stay on track. :D

I have yet another confession to make. Yesterday I had that HUGE lunch, then I skipped the gym, went home and had pizza hut for dinner. :(

ugh.

I'm determined to be good for the rest of the week, and at least make 3 more trips to the gym before Monday morning -- thats weigh-in day.

I'm sure you can do it. You justneed to get your focus back. Remember how far you have already come and pick up from there and don't dwell on the slips, they will just make you even more upset. Keep up the good and get to the gym!:p

I survived yesterday! :p

I went to the gym after work and had a nice workout. For dinner we had chinese food, but I got the chicken & broccoli with a little white rice. The put me a little over my calorie limit, but nothing too bad.

I *love* chinese food, so I did struggle with my decision -- mine didn't taste nearly as good as my wife's, but this morning I was proud of myself. :)

Chris, I am really impressed. You're doing such a great job resisting temptations and selecting the healthier food options! :) Sorry I've been missing from your diary for awhile!

Congratulations ont he new job!! I envy you, but I am happy you only have a few more days of "stress" at the old place. The new job sounds like it'll be great for you.

Keep up the wonderufl work.. you've got a lot of bonuses to look forward to, so don't let yourself get down about a mishap here or there. :D

Dont beat yourself up too badly over the Pizza Hut. I mean, who can resist Pizza Hut?? Its a temptation just too large for a normal human being. lol. :)

You did awesome with your Chinese food choice. I love love love Chinese food and it is so hard to be good when there are so many yummy choices. Good job!

Your doing great with getting to the gym! I dont know about you, but have you found this month particularly hard to stay motivated?? I dont know if its spring fever setting in, or just having been doing this for a while now, but I have felt a bit sluggish in my resolve to stick to my weight loss program. I really need to get my motivation level back up!!

Hope you are enjoying your weekend. Lovely weather, isnt it? Glad its warming back up!! :)

Fluff you're absolutely right. There's something about this month that has absolutely killed my motivation. :p

I did pretty good last week though. Not great, but not nearly as bad as the week before.

I did finally weigh-in today. I lost a pound and half! I wasn't sure what to expect since I had a terrible week 2 weeks ago, and an okay week last week.

But, I'm still headed in the right direction!

I'm now at 203.5. :D

Hi Tempest!
I have to say I'm in this one with you guys! Last week, could of been better-I'm feeling sluggish. And my weight is fluctuating, one day I'm 4 lbs lighter and the next I'm up 4lbs? I'm not gaining-but Im frustrated with my scale. My cloths seem loser?!? I think what it is...is that we've pretty much been doing this for about 3 months, and after accomplishing so much, its easy to want to relax a "little." But, we have to find the something inside of us that is going to keep that motivation moving strong. :)

I just keep thinking that I want to look great for my anniversary. I know I look good now--but I want to look great by then (If not great, at least 5lbs lighter :p lol)

We are going to do this! Reach into yourself and make it happen! I know you can. (Im going to have to take my own advice too:) ) Have a great Monday!..................Cabana:p

Congrats on the 1.5 pound weight loss !! Thats great!! That should certainly kickstart the motivation again. :)

Personally, I am glad March is coming to an end. I see April as a new chance to redouble my efforts and get back on track more diligently than ever. (I am just going to pretend April 1st is January 1st and see if that does the trick.lol.)

You are doing great! Keep up the awesome work! :)

Cabana, if your scale is fluctuating that much...you might need a new scale! I think I would bury mine out back if it was weighing me 4 pounds down then 4 pounds back up! lol. That or run over it with my car!

Thanks everyone! :)

Cabana, try to only weigh-in once a week. I know, its TOUGH, it kills me too. :p My weigh-in day is Monday, so by Friday I'm really dying to step on the scale.

If you weigh yourself at the same time just once a week, its more likely that you're body will be in a similar state as before, and you're weigh-ins will be more accurate and consistent.

I just keep it in the back of my mind that my weight is going to go up and down throughout the week, but the only thing that matters is Monday morning.

Hehe, its probably not the best advice, but it works for me. ;)

Yeah, your probably right.
But I like fluffs idea....lets run over our scales! heheh:p
Then I would probably cry for days and have to buy a new one!:p

Well, today is my last day at my job! I've worked here for 4 years, its the first "real-world" job I've ever had. Its been a big part of my life. While working here I've graduated college, bought a house, and got married. I will miss this place, but I'm glad that I'm moving on.

My new job starts on Thursday, so I'm taking tomorrow off! My wife and I are going to spend the day together.

Needless to say, this weeks gonna be rough on the diet. I believe they're taking me out to lunch today, and I'm sure my wife and I are going to a nice dinner this evening. :)

Chris, enjoy your reward! Don't goo too nuts with the dining out but you deserve these nice gestures. Have a fabulous day off tomorrow! Can't wait until I am making the same transition as you!! :D Congratulations again!

Congrats on the new job!! Thats wonderful! :) Its hard to leave something we have built a history with. I felt that way when we moved out of our first house. It was a teeny tiny little house, but it was our first house and where we had our three children. It made it hard to leave, even though I was very happy with the house I was going to. But life marches on right??

Hope you enjoy your last day at work. Enjoy lunch! And dinner! And your day off tomorrow!

Hope your first day on the new job goes well! :)

Well, that's the end of that chapter.
And the new one begins. Congratulations on your new job. I wish you all the happiness and opportunities that a new job has to offer!

And, I think I'm with newleaf on this one. Enjoy your celebration. This is a good thing. They are milestones in our life and we should remember them (even if it IS over a large steak and baked potatoe...hehe):D

Once again, congrats.....Hope to see you on the move once everything has settled down...........................Cabana:p

Hey Chris!! :) I just wanted to say I hope you are really enjoying your day off and wish you luck on a great start day at the new job tomorrow!! :)
