Chris B's New Life

Hey guys,

Its been a few months since I've been on the boards. I was doing great early in the year! I lost around 30 lbs and was really starting to see a difference in the way I felt, the way my cloths fit, and all of that!

But...I changed jobs and I've been dealing with alot of stress over the past 3 months. And, as a result, I've gained 20 pounds back. :(

But today thats all changing! I'm tired of feeling fat and bloated every day. I over eat because I'm stressed at work, but its just causing me to feel worse and worse as the pounds keep packing on.

I'm starting my new way of life by eating a healthy breakfast, lunch, and dinner - and heading to the gym right after work!

I'm shooting for 1500 calories a day and going to the gym at least 3 times a week.

I'm really excited to start turning things around! I'll keep everyone posted.

For those who don't remember me, I'm 25, male, and married. I initially tried to lose weight for my wedding last summer, but it didn't go so well. In January I decided to give myself a birthday present of good health. I totally changed my eating habits and fitness routine - everything was going GREAT. But, I let stress get the best of me...and now I've realized that by ruining all of that work, I've just INCREASED the stress. Oh well, I'm ready for a new start! :D

Thanks for reading,

Its good to see you motivated for the change. And you know what you need to do to make those changes. Congrads on the new job...maybe...if its a good thing. Stress can get you something aweful, thats what I've been dealing with for 6 years. Good luck!

Okay, I had a rough start last week. I didn't make it to the gym last Monday after work, and the whole week went down hill from there! :(

Not a great way to start out - so I'm considering TODAY as day one. Last night I was going to have my last cheat meal by having buffalo wings and french fries, and I couldn't even eat them. I could feel myself getting nauseous after the first few bites.

I used to eat this for dinner like twice a week, but I just couldn't do it last night. I see this as a state of mind change, because I'm no longer attracted to that kind of eating.

Earlier this year I got under 200 lbs for the first time in a LONG time - and it felt amazing. I'm ready to feel that way again.

I'm gonna quote what someone else once said on this forum:

"Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels." :D

Well its great that your getting back on track! You've lost 30pounds before, for sure you will be able to do it again! GOOD LUCK!

You should join the October 1 month chanlenge, i'm aiming for 8pounds in a month, hopefully it will be 10!

I survived my first day! I gotta say it feels GREAT to be back on track. I went to the gym last night and did 20 minutes on the eliptical and 15 minutes on weights. It was a light workout, but I went! I want to get back into the routine of going, so I didn't want to kill myself the first day back.

Tonight I've got a ton of stuff to do after work, so I won't be going to the gym - but I'm going to stick to the diet and hit the gym tomorrow night. :)

Hiya Tempest. Welcome back. We are both on the Octobers Team.

So........what is your diet plan???

P.S. I am a fellow Texan, but further south.
