Chest Exercises

Hi, Im 16 years old, 170 pounds, my height is 5.10. Im a bit chubby and I just want to build up muscle and lose some fat. Im trying to controle my diet by eating healthy food and mainly stuff high in protien like tuna and chicken.

Now I have a question, I don't go to the GYM or anything but I do have dumbells, however my dumbells are basicly adjustable and I can only get each side to be a max of 15 pounds. I was wondering since 15 is too little for a cheat press, Can I do a set with my right hand and a set with my left hand because like that I can adjust the weights more by taking the weights off the other 1 and putting them all into just 1 of the 1 dumbell.

Also I don't have a bench at home... so if I just do chest presses with dumbells on the floor that will be fine right?

thanks!

Taking the weights off the bar and resting them on your back while doing pushups is another option.

the best way to get the results your probably looking for would actually be going to the gym and doing a variety of different press exercises for your chest pushups are ok, but a benching type exercise would suit you far better

Doing what you mentioned would not bring you through the full range of motion. Your elbow will hit the floor even before you get a full ROM. You need a bench at least bro. Check out a local gym and start out with push ups.
