Chest Excercises

Im a complete beginner at body building. Its been a few weeks since i started going to the gym. I just wanted to know how to get rid of excess fat on my chest? What workout plan should i be following? I've started doing cardio exercises like walking/jogging but im not able to get rid of them. Please advice!

You should read the FAQ threads in the weight training and bodybuilding sections here, and if your questions aren't answered, then make a post in one of those sections. This section is intended for PTs to talk business.

Getting rid of fat is simple. You need to burn off more calories than you take in. There is no way you can spot reduce. You could do chest exercises till the cows come home but it won't help you burn the fat off your chest. It will help you define and build your chest muscles though, and that's a good thing.

Dips are certainly a chest exercise.
Pushups are a chest exercise.
Pullups are a back exercise.

If you are new to lifting, master the body-weight exercises before lifting weights.

Do Incline Presses For Upper Chest Development.
Do the butterfly.
Include a day of rest between chest workouts.
Protect your shoulders.
Work through a large range of motion
Don't arch your back.

Push ups, dips (depending on how you position upper body), pec deck, reverse flyes, bench presses, cable flyes, chest presses etc
