OK, I guess I should start with the basics, I am a 29 year old mother of 3 boys ages 4, 6, & 8 who at one time was in a size 3 and am now 195 lbs and very unhappy with what I see in the mirror!! I have a supportive husband who loves me no matter what, but I know he wants the women he married back. My kids are so happy to get me off the couch and doing things with them instead of watching things with them
! They are also a great source of support for me, I want to set a better example for them than I have with the way I eat and I want to make sure I am here to watch them grow up! I am a stress eater and with a 6 year old with a chronic disease (Cystic Fibrosis) who is on a high fat, high calorie, & high salt diet (who I need to stop eating with), I need to find a way to break old habits and do what it takes to get in shape, because my stress isn't going anywhere!!!! My target weight is 120, but I haven't set a goal to reach that yet, I am trying to do this one step at a time, so right now my goal is to be at or below 160 by the beginning of 2008. I have changed what I eat, changed how much I eat, and have started to go on daily bike rides with my boys as well as getting outside with them more. I work full time and am exhausted most of the time, so I am trying to start small and work my way up to exercising more. With God, my boys (including the hubby
), and my parents to help me I know I can do this! Of course I have fears of failure, I have tried and failed countless times before, but with a lot of prayer and this forum to turn to when I get weak and just want to eat, I think I can do this!
