My Christmas present to myself will be ....a new ME!
I will stop this self loathing for good!

I will stop sedating myself with food because I don't want to address my "Issues"

I will exercise without a negative thought (I'll try anyway...exercise is a real chore for me and I plan to make it a routine)
Just say no to saboteurs (eg Mother-In-Law who gives you the "If-you-don't-eat-it-you'll-hurt-my-feelings" look)

Say no to co-workers who offer you the chocolate box.

Say "NO - BECAUSE I'M A LOSER!!"

I'm back ....and fat! Previously, I lost 12kg on Cohens (this time last year) and have put it all (+ more) back on...making me the fattest that I have been for 9 years. I am so depressed - it's affecting my life in a bad way.

I DO NOT WANT TO BE FAT ANYMORE!
I WANT TO FIT INTO MY WARDROBE FULL OF SIZE 12 CLOTHES
I WANT TO BE SEXY FOR MY NEXT SUMMER HOLIDAY
I WANT TO HAVE THE ENERGY FOR DOING STUFF WITH THE FAMILY
I'M DISGUSTED THAT I JUST BOUGHT MY FIRST PAIR OF 18 WORK PANTS
I WANT TO BE HEALTHY AND FIT
I AM A LAZY, FAT TELLY TUBBY AND I HAVE NO ONE TO BLAME BUT MYSELF FOR MY FATNESS
I WILL BEGIN MY NEW LIFE .... NOW!

Gee that feels good! I work for a medical professional who tells her patients "You are fat because you either eat too much, eat the wrong food, don't exercise enough or any combination of these things......stop it!" some of her patients love her ...others are offended and don't come back (those who want a miracle answer on how to lose weight!) It's time I heeded her advice.

Problems I encountered last time on Cohens and what I will do differently this time:
Gave me bad breath
occasionally lethargic - up the fruit/veg carbs
extremely constipated - eat bran for breakfast (this is a must!) will exchange cracker allowance for bran
not enough variety - choose low GI vegies that aren't on list like broccoli & try more recipes
portions too small - I will up the kilojoules so that it's about the same as Weight Watchers ...I counted the points on Cohen ...12 points per day!!! no wonder you lose weight...this is inadequate for long term weight loss and very tedious over 12 weeks or so. 18 - 20 points is more realistic and I know that I can still lose 1kg per week.
Bored - I will exercise this time

Some of you may disagree with these deviations....but I have done this before and I did suffer the above problems. No, I am not doing Cohens to-a-T but surely it's better than being fat. Comments are welcome but please remember that not everyone's body can tolerate so little fibre etc. I congratulate you if you've done your refeed and kept it off for a long time.
I was 65 kg .....I am now 80kg!!!

Day 1

Off to a great start - I feel positive!
Weigh exactly 80kg this morning.
Cooked a big pan of thai green curry chicken last night and froze in little containers (140g raw - i refuse to eat such tiny portions as what cohens say ...105g doesn't even touch the sides) I will cook something new every week, something that the whole family can eat.

My first week loss last year was about 2.4kg so it will be interesting with the variations i'm making, how much i'll lose this week.

The forum you have joined is a Cohens Lifestyle forum but looks like you are not following the cohens program so why don't you just post in the weight loss forum and leave this one for people who are following the cohens program the way it's meant to be followed.

I don't want to read that you have had 140 grams of chicken because 105 is not enough.

I will continue to post here and will not be bullied to go away!

I have not been rude or offensive - I have offered an experienced opinion and some of my advice came from the Cohen's people themselves eg bran, extra fruit
.......but for someone (yes you rolypoly) who has entered 17 random posts since April, of which a good deal of them are unsavoury, you don't seem to have given any REAL advice from YOUR SUCCESSFUL?? experience!!!

How hilarious is that when this forum was never depressing until Windy Blue's husband made those ridiculous comments and now Windy finds it depressing hmmmmm?

I totally agree about the support in here, I joined and posted a while ago and only one person welcomed me..I find the other forums much more friendlier than in here..

There has been alot of feathers ruffled lately about people who are not on cohens lifestyle, posting in cohens threads. ALso, theres been problems w/ people giving advice on cohens threads.....

While we understand that you like to keep to users on cohens, it is not in violation of any written or unwritten "rules". This is an forum being used by thousands of people and from time to time you are going to get visitors or advice.

Please do not notify mod's of someone posting outside of the cohens family, or anyone giving weight loss/fitness advice. If you don't like it, just ignore it. Please do, however feel free to notify mods if someone is being offensive,threatening, ect.

I am here because a year ago, this was a supportive, accepting group of people, whether you stuck to it 100% or not......there goes the neighborhood???:angel:

Ah yes, my fantastic day one of my 75% compliant Cohen's Lifestyle *blows a raspberry at unsavoury blow-ins*

I had a great day, won't go into great detail what was on the menu...only 2 very healthy unmentionables with plenty of compliant things (censored for those of you who are doing a great job being 100% true to Cohen's (and I applaud you for that by the way:))

There are plenty of people here who are not 100% true eg exercising/milky coffee & tea!!! But I say good for you...what ever works for you...you're the one who will feel great at the end of the day!

I feel like I'm back on track to the new me....focused, organised and excited because I know that by christmas, I will be about 12kg lighter and fitting into my size 12 summer gear!

My reward will be a new espresso machine and of course a hot new bod (well, a hottish...warmish....ok...an alright bod!)

you sound angry :( really theres no need to be....maybe the extra chicken is making you tense..take a chill pill and relax.
Firstly, You asked for comments in your first post and I gave them, i really don't think I was rude nor offensive nor bullying you. I only made that suggestion because really you aint doing cohens and 's not very motivating to read about how much more you are eating.
Secondly, very inmature to list all my posts, you dont need to point that out to people, they are smart enough to click on my name and find my posts.

RolyPoly...you need to lay off. Making jokes about chicken in a weight loss forum is very inappropriate. This is an OPEN FORUM, though this is a cohens section, you cohenites do not get to pick and choose who may or may not post here. We've had problems like this in the past and quite frankly I'm sick of it. there is no "STAY OUT" sign on the door, ok? Lets be adults about it.

This is Cherubs thread, If you do not agree w/ her then stay out. Its that easy.
