Hey everybody!!!

So just joined today and I too have been on many yoyo diets going up down up down! When i saw the scale almost reach 200 that was my turning point...this is the highest i've ever weighed and if i don't do something now the numbers just gonna get higher and higher!! Can't let that happen!

I've done soo many fad diets: Atkins, Low cal, South Beach, etc since i was probably 14 (i have been overweight my whole life) I feel like i have all the knowledge i need to lose weight...its just so hard to stick to a diet when it's almost an addiction!

This time has to be it...the last time i start a diet and the first time i finish one successfully!!! So my starting weight is 197 and i'm 5"3 and 23 years old! My goal weight is 115...but i just want to be healthy, toned and fit so if thats give or take a few pounds thats fine...i just want to be able to wear a bikini for the first time ever!

My plan is to eat a mostly clean diet, lots of lean protein, veggies, fruit and complex carbs everything in moderation...everytime im on a diet i always cut carbs since one time i lost 30lbs on the atkins diet...but since it came back just as fast...i might as well try something different. Im trying to make it more like a lifestyle than a diet...haha thats probably what everyones saying...i guess its a diet from my normal life style but thats what needs to be change! Im gonna combine this with exersice (cardio and strength training) and hopefully i can be at my goal weight by the beginning of next October...so 10 months!

Thanks for listening...im gonna need some support at times im sure...and am happy to give some right back!!! I will be updating occassionally to let you all know where im at! Wish me luck! We can do this!!!

Good luck Chelsea! I'm cheering for you!:hurray: Stay consistent and if you mess up make sure to jump right back in! With the holidays coming up it is going to be hard but stay motivated and gets lots of exercise to boost your metabolism. I think it's great you are starting this journey so young - you will have great success! I have lost 75 pounds so you might be able to get some ideas from my journal - it's called Time to Stick with it! I only started the diary in August but have been on this journey for some time! I wish you all the best and can't wait to read more!:waving:

Hey Chelsea, Good luck. Your start weight is the same as mine. I have been eating better and exercising for 5 weeks now. I have only loss 5 pounds but thats ok because I'm lossing not gaining. But I have some of the same issues as you. It's so hard to stick to one particular thing. I have learned that making small short term goals have really helped me to stay on track. I have also learned that beating my self up for falling off the wagon just keeps me off the wagon longer. So if I fall off the wagon I get back up and work even harder. I wish you the best of luck and if you get lonely you can always stop by my dairy. I post almost every day. It helps so much to be able to write my feelings down without having people criticize me for it.
