change routine

Need help I have been going to the gym for 6 months now, changed my routine a few times, can you tell me which goes together for definition, chest & shoulders, biceps, triceps and back also not very good at crunches so try to work my abs in with my other work out, using eliptical machine for cardio but only manage 20 mins each time (get bored) although I have some good music I listen to.

ok, what do i work together, chest shoulders and back, on one day then I take a day off and then i work on biceps triceps,legs and abs then day off then back to the first group, what I am asking is , is this the right muscle groups to work together?
 
Well, if you want to split them up you're probably looking at either upper/lower or push/pull. The first is self explanatory. The latter is involves exercises where you pull the weight toward you on one day and ones where you push it away on the other. So it's usually:

Chest, shoulders & triceps on one and back & biceps on another. This way, you're not overworking your shoulders, for example, since the exercise which really use them (all presses) are on the same day.

So, what about legs? Well, you can either create a separate day or just incorporate them. I usually put squats on a push day, deadlifts on a pull and you can mix in anything else. Anyhow, that's a rough outline. I hope it helps.
