Thanks so much for the replies! I'm just eating when I'm hungry now, which is every four hours or so.
I ate out at Applebee's yesterday and ordered off the weight watchers menu- I had a couple of onion rings though. I also ate out at a Mexican restaurant today and ate a veggie burrito (I mostly ate the filling and not much of the tortilla- as per usual before my diet) and got so full I didn't eat for awhile. I went for my normal walk today, but I didn't do my normal crunches, etc. I think my bod needed a break from that anyway; I did it for more than a week straight.
My BF's ok, just a cosmetic-level dent in the car he was driving. It was caused by a tire flying off another car as it rounded the corner- such a freak accident.
 
Great job being aware of what you eat while dining out!Glad that your bf came out of the accident okay!Taking a day off from your crunches are fine-you dont want to burn yourself out and get bored-BUT be sure to start again tomorrow-OKAY!!!LOL

Went on a mini-vacation to see a play. I kept with the exercise pretty well, but I slipped up on some other things, I had starbucks and a few fries. I didn't eat ice cream like other ppl did.
My BF's mom is such a dessert-a-holic and keeping up with things diet-wise was very hard. My BF did some things with me in solidarity, like he didn't order ice cream either.
 
Oh...and...

I'm weighing in tomorrow instead of today. Because of the mini-vacation, I didn't have access to a scale in the morning and I WON'T weigh at any other time.
I did order the healthiest that I could. I'm hoping for the best tomorrow on the scale...

Lost two more pounds. It may be more than that. I'm slightly constipated: fiber time! Sorry if that's TMI.
I also had a hard time getting enough water on vacation b/c I didn't want to have to pee all the time.
I've upgraded to cycling instead of walking. Same distance.

ooh cycling is fun :) I'm looking to start soon, just got to get to a store to buy a bike !

lol, try eating some bran cereal. I find its nice and full of fiber, works well to make things.... easier :p

Great Job on the 2 pounds!!! Your really doing great.I too want to get a bike to use as cross training on the day that i do not run.
 
September 14, 2007- I will do better...

I went to a company picnic type thing a few days ago and overate, then I underate the next day, then I overate the next day (hooray for undereating/overeating cycles!). I'm stopping the cycle today. Part of it was stress. It's difficult to deal with special occasions like that and stick to a diet, but that's no excuse. Also, this is the first time I've had my period since I started dieting and the cravings are pretty intense (sorry if that's TMI)
My bike was an old crappy one so it broke down a mile into my ride and then I had to walk it back; it was ninety degrees and fun. The back wheel would randomly quit spinning (seriously, it wasn't the brake or anything). I'm not surprised since it was a dollar at a garage sale. I figured I'd ride it until it died, LOL.
I've been doing pretty good with exercise though, alternating stair laps and walking to shock my body a little. Yesterday, I didn't get a chance to b/c an old friend unexpectedly came back to town. I'll work really hard until Sunday and forgive myself for this week if I have to.

hehe i never have cravings on my period.... my biggest craving time is weigh in day i think.... cause i feel like ive done well and deserve a treat. I TRY say no :p

September 16, 2007- 5lbs?

I lost five pounds this week. I've been lax on my diet and missed a few exercises, so I'm not sure why, but I'm glad I guess...
Five pounds is too much for a week and I know that... Any explanations from anyone would be helpful. I was half expecting to gain weight because of my laxness and my cycle, etc.
The only thing I can think of is that maybe I was in starvation mode before and I'm not now...
 
sometimes these things just happen :p I lost a little over 4lbs last week, and i did push it hard at the gym but sometimes my foods did slip up ah well.

Hope u had a good weekend though, wonder what your lb loss will be this week ! :D

Yeah, I've been thinking about it and I did a little less exercise overall but it was more intense. There was cycling and stair laps mixed in with walking. I'm positive that I'm getting enough to eat. I'm just not going to worry about it unless I keep losing that much.
 
September 19, 2007- bad day

Since I lost that five pounds with so little effort I'm a little distraught. I'm still watching what I eat, but I'm not doing as well as I was in the first weeks working my ass off for a whopping 6 pounds. I literally forgot to exercise yesterday!
I have to remind myself that I did do some effort for the five and keep working hard, but why, when I worked my ass off, did I lose less weight than when I didn't. I know I said I wouldn't worry about it but it bugs me.
Back in the saddle today,

don't fret girlie.

im the same, i lost 5lbs one week then 1 the next and it bugged me. Just stick with it.

I find unless i exercises early on i feel lazy all day and forget to exercise more and my foods slip-up, what time do you get your workouts in?
 
Oh, I go for a walk at six. I like walking in the evening. If for some reason I miss my walk, I usually do stair laps. I can do 20 now!

woo nice one. we don't have stairs, otherwise id prob incorporate stair laps too into my day :(

evening walks are nice i agree :)
