We see lots of wildlife up here & I feel lucky. That's a good attitude you have toward your garden visitors! It's always interesting sharing land with others!![]()
Carpobrotus rossii It's very pretty & very hardy. That conjures up some interesting visions, sounds like something from a horror film. Hopefully a pigface is some kind of plant?
We are, LaMa. It is pretty cold today & there's snow on the mountains. I'm rugged up for golf.I saw this season's first snowflakes here this morning so I guess we're at the time of year where our weather's actually similar.
They are pretty, Jen. I hope they take. I was enjoying Spring until it turned back into Winter!Pigface cuttings? I just had to look that up. Very pretty for such an interesting name. lol!
Enjoy your spring, I miss ours.
Me too, Em. I had that nana nap (probably only 10 mins) & then got out into the garden in the wild wind.I love the term ‘nana nap.’ Lol.
I have done fairly well so far, but have not weighed myself. I maybe went over my cals a couple of days, but not by much, so I'm quite happy about how well I have gone so far. I struggle to be bothered logging my food :blush5 I'll try again, starting now. G & I have been getting a load of wood each day & that is very physical. Trees are down everywhere & they take a lot of work to tidy up. I have been aching a lot & could do with a massage. So, it's the 1st of December. Time to set some goals (again).
I have at long last synced my new phone to my Fitbit & MFP.
My goals for December are-
<1500 cals per day
>5,000 steps per day.
Golf at least once a week.
> 10 mins a day gardening (this can be my December meditation).
*Edit. If it's raining, I make up my steps with km on my exercise bike. Just did 5.15 km.
Weigh myself every Tuesday & Friday.
All of this is realistic & achievable.
Edit again-
Wear sunscreen every day,
Moisturise every night
Can you be kind to yourself, and get yourself one? Good for you, checking in on December goals - it definitely is easy to get derailed.I have been aching a lot & could do with a massage.
Sounds like the approach we have taken to finding most of our dogs, do some research, choose a breed and age we think we want, and then just taking the first dog we see that we like, rarely having much to do with the research. It has worked out pretty well so far. Good luck with your dog search, I am sure you'll get the right one. It's a matter of working out what breed. I'm inclined towards getting a puppy & taking it to puppy school. I have never done that. It has to be a hypoallergenic breed for me. I would love to get a pound dog but they all seem to be Staffy/Mastiff males. I'm getting a new yard built soon but won't get a dog until after a holiday in March. I also want a dog that I can lift into my laundry sinks to bath, but not a small yappy dog. Not much to ask? I'll probably go to a pound & fall in love with a dog!
Another of those Australian idioms, one I like.pleasantly knackered
