Casey's Diary!

Blegh. After a large shake last night, I had a healthy dinner with a ton of desserts. Potluck dinner. Lots of dessert. At least I exercised today. It seems like finals are taking FOREVER. I am so sick and tired of studying! It seems like I'm never going to get the F out of this dorm room. I just keep telling myself that as soon as I get done with finals and moved into my apartment, I'll really get serious about working out and eating healthy again. I hope I'm not lying to myself.

Oh Casey, I'm so sorry!

Remember, it's always Ok to start over. Over and over again! Never give up, and do whatever you can to lead a healthy, happy lifestyle.

In the long run, grades at school hardly matter. Look at George W!

Eating healthy takes lots and lots of practice. I thought I was--and today I was filling in and found out my saturated fat intake is through the roof! I'm very disappointed that I was so oblivious to some of my foods, and seeing a pie graph of macronutrients really helps me. It's the next step to the last 8 or so pounds. Even though I'm pretty much fine with where I'm at, I still want to reach 134 by August and it's getting more and more tough.

Hang in there!

BIG Hug

Okay, so I'm starting over. Finals are done, I only have a few things left to move to my apartment, and the stress of the week is over. Thanks to all who have encouraged me!

Glad finals are done. Leave the past where it belongs and start getting back on track right now. Think how much you want this.

Moved in the new apt! Got All A's last semester!!! Eating is getting back to where it needs to go and I just finished a 4 mile run. I haven't had access to the internet in awhile, so I haven't had a chance to post or use fitday, but I can almost feel my body and my mind naturally detoxing. It's going to take a lot more hard work but I know I can do it.

Starting fresh!!!!

Well, it's time to get serious. I have been eating a lot of junk food lately. Yesterday was the first day in awhile I had no chocolate. I've been drinking too much too. I have had 5+ drinks three nights in the past 8 days. Not something I'm proud of. Not only is it detrimental to my diet, it's not healthy psychologically. One of my friends came back from spending a semester in AZ so we had to celebrate that a few nights. I don't know what it is with me and alcohol. I have trouble limiting myself. I'm going to stay away from it for awhile.

I need to buy a scale (a digital one that works!) to start keeping up with my weight again. I know it has gone up some. I still am proud of the work I have done since Jan 1st. I've got 10-12 pounds left and I know I can do it if I work out consistently, eat healthily, and drink MODERATELY.

You and me both, Sister!

I swear that it is the warm weather, at least for me, and spring fever and such that is influencing me. I'm really glad about your As and settling in. I have faith in you! I have gained back a decent amount of my lost weight but I'm not worried--starting over is what we do best, right?

Have a great night!

I seriously twisted my ankle yesterday. It's sore and swollen. I did the same thing in October, only much worse. I know it's going to be awhile before I can workout again so I'm a little upset. Of course, I turned to ice cream, as usual. Blegh.

Oh SO SORRY! I HATE being injured--my stupid heel with the skin off made me miss running for damn near 3 weeks! Don't worry--and try to turn to fruit instead!

Breakfast:
1.5 cups Total
1.5 cups chocolate soymilk
2 graham crackers
2 tbl peanut butter
1 banana

Snack:
1 Nutri Grain bar

Lunch:
2 cups fajita veggies, sauteed
0.5 cups refried beans
0.5 cups Spanish rice
1 serving tortilla chips
0.5 cups salsa

Snack:
1 serving Reese's Pieces

The ankle is getting better. It's sore and swollen, but I can walk on it and it feels pretty stable. Hopefully by next Friday I can start swimming again. So frustrating!!

So far today:

Breakfast:
1 cup Total
1 cup soy chocolate milk
3 graham crackers
2 tbl peanut butter

Snack:
1 Nutri Grain bar

Lunch:
2 soy corn dogs
1 whole wheat tortilla
1.5 cups baby spinach
0.25 cups red pepper
2 tbl Asian Sesame dressing

Dinner is wide open. I'm thinking about cooking something but nothing appealing comes to mind. I do plan on eating a banana before the day is through.

The swelling in my ankle is going down (it still looks pretty big and deformed). I'm thinking about getting in the pool Monday and seeing how it goes. My ankle isn't all that sore and has full mobility---it's just swollen and a bit tender to the touch. I definitely need an ankle brace. I can't complain much, because the last time I did this I wound up in the ER and on crutches for 5 days.
