Well I guess I should have started this a week ago but oh well.

I just came across this site in the middle of my weight loss "adventure". I started at 252 in February of 07 and am now currently 221. My goal is to get to 180 with: healthy eating/1400 calories/lifting + any aerobic exercise I can get. Currently I am on a fixed budget so it's been tough just eating frozen chicken and veggies most of the time but you start to find some interesting experiments along the way with cheap eating.

Currently: 221

Goal: 180

Down about a half a pound since last week, so that's good. I feel like I've lost more. Had to punch a new hole in my belt and my pants are always falling down. Have been walking a lot more and lifting more so maybe I'm gaining muscle. My biggest fear is that I'll burn only muscle because I'm down to 1200 calories a day at the most. Been resisting temptation and not having much cravings, weight loss seems much easier during the week. The weekend though partying and $4 pitchers get the best of me so I totally mess up my progress.

I just keep telling myself "never give up and I'll be 180 someday".

Current Weight - 221.5

Well since my last post I'm down to around 211. Sometimes in the morning when I weigh myself I dip down to 209.5. I'm very excited about getting below 200. That's when I think I'll really turn it on. I have been jogging more. Pretty much every other day. Getting ready to play baseball again in the spring. I am Pumped.

Current weight - 211

yay! for you! I cant wait to get under 200 either!!!

wooohoooo!

43 pounds is AMAZING, good for you! :hurray: Seems like you got what it takes to get to your goal--the never give up attitude keeps me still pumped to somehow manage my own goal I've been chasing for TWO YEARS  Hell, I got to 137--sooooo close.

Thanks you two. Wow I haven't updated this in a while. I guess I'm on a good course. I can rewrite my goal of 180 to my current goal of 155. It's my love handles that particularly bother me. I should also mention I started at size 38" jeans and am now fitting into a VERY loose 34". I am thinking 32" might be where I'm at but that is a big drop.

Lets see since last time I updated both my sister and mother have successfully started their journey. MY sister especially considering she is down close to 50. My mother started a few months ago and is down 11. Those two success stories has now inspired my aunt to begin her journey. The chain reaction has begun! There's something about a 252 pound person going to 165 that tells people, "If he can do it why the hell can't I". It makes since and I think that's why this forum has been so helpful too.

SW - 252
CW - 165
GW - 155

Stats: 5'11", waist 34"
BTW I'm a dude haha

Woohoo, for being contagious ;)! I am currently making a mealplan for myself and sending it to a very good friend who thought if I could lose nearly 30 pounds she could try too. Then another friend heard and wanted the meal plans too, so now it is already 2 people I am "helping" just by writing down what I will eat.
It is the best feeling in the world, isn't it? When you are not just improving your life and health but someone else's?

Good job by the way, don't think you need me to say it, you must know how awesome you are, in the mirror and reflected in everyone who is inspired by you.
Have a wonderful sunday, Camy
