I've been bulking for a few months now, and I haven't done cardio ever since I started. WOuld you guys recommend running about 20 minutes 1 day per week, or should I just focus entirely on weight lifting?
I've been doing HIIT 2-3 times for 20 minutes per week depending on intensity and time and I've been gaining very steadily about 1 pound per week (1.05 lb to be exact ), which is my goal.
Unless you don't mind gaining a fair amount of fat by the end of your bulking period I would do at least two sessions of cardio per week, particularly HIIT.
Your heart needs some lovin'! No point in being a massive 230lb muscular dude that can't even run a quarter mile.. I would say to stick to 2, maybe 3 sessions a week with about 70% speed to keep your heart healthy.
Alright, I'm going to try doing the HIIT program then. However, I always thought that doing cardio during bulking is bad because you're burning all the muscle you're gaining. Am I wrong?
