Cannon's Journal

Cannon,
What is wonderful is that you have a PLAN! I think so often in our past, we just flew by the seat of our pants - but knowing what you are going to do sure helps you achieve them!

Have a great day and WTG on 11 blocks!!

since you won't be int he clothes that long- check out consignment shops or thrift shops -- just inspect carefully... you might find some good stuff -- inexpensively...

way to go on your day... :D

Hey Cannon,

I like the new schedule, think your body does too. And good luck with the clothes-hunt:) Its a victory to go buy new clothes, means you've lost weight, not just in numbers:)
Well, have a great 2. day of the new schedule and keep up the good work:)

Sounds like you're starting your new year off wonderfully!! Keep up the great job!! Oh, and I totally know what you mean about going to bed and laying there listening to something for at least a half an hour before finally getting to sleep. That's exactly what I was doing before I started all this too. :D

Hey Cannon, Just checking in to see how school was going. Glad to see you understand the importance of getting your sleep. For your own sake and the kids! Nobody likes a cranky teacher!!!

Thanks for the posts!! I better post quick so I can get to bed. This isn't going to be a great weigh in for me tomorrow, but I'm not real down about it. I had some real victories this week and a small number of setbacks. Now that I'm in the swing of things I can have a good loss this next week I'm sure.

The biggest problem I face is a lack of a chance to go to the washroom or the ability to drink the large ammounts of water I need during the day :(. I haven't figured out how to deal with those two impediments.

Today, I was tired even after sleeping 7 hours. I went back to bed instead of working out. I do intend to get out there tomorrow. To make things worse, Thursday is my tough day. We go out after work and then we go to class and we take turns bringing food to class.

Breakfast - 2 packets instant oatmeal (380 calories)
Lunch - Cornbread Muffin (300 calories)
Dinner - Grilled Chicken Sandwich (450 calories)
Curley Fries (500 Calories)
Snack - 2 cookies (270 Calories)
Turkey finger sandwich (270 Calories)

This is an estimate, but I'd guess I consumed 2170 today. I need to avoid those snacks during my masters class. I think I was probably about break even before today so I may well have gained for the week. Oh well, I did some great things this week like getting 7 hours of sleep, not binging with all the stress (I consider today some bad choices not binging), getting out walking, and bringing a healthy lunch to school everyday other than today. I can do this even during the school year if I want to and I really do want to.

cannon in certain situations i find its hard to stay on track no matter what. If your at home the planning is pretty easy but when I'm out in the world it just gets tough. So look think about the occasional snack too much as long as you keep a certain balance. keep it up.........

I'm glad you are letting an off day get you down. Can you take some small bottles of water with you, and drink a couple at lunch?

I have been taking water with me to work to drink at lunch. I don't like eating or drinking in front of the students who are stuck without food or drink, but I sneak in some water where I can.

Unfortunately, I did gain weight. I am up .8 pounds to 430.4. I am determined to have a much better week this time.

You sound like such a great teacher, so thoughtful and considerate. *big hug* I understand your dilema with the water. I hear a lot of teachers in my buildings with the very same complaint. They can't drink the water because they can't leave enough to take the potty breaks.

My daughter's teacher found a great way to incorporate water drinking into her class. She calls it brain juice and every child is supplied with a bottle, which is refilled everyday and replaced every 6-9 weeks or earlier if needed. All bottles and tops are labeled to prevent confusion and they have an assigned place on the desks to keep them during the day. So, she drinks water all day and so do the kids. The research supports the fact that there is a high correlation between learning and hydration...so she's killing several birds with one stone (poor birds...but I digress. lol )

Now I don't know what she does about bathroom breaks...but she's done it for years now, so she must have a plan to handle that as well.

Have a great Friday!...TGIF!!! :D
