Cannon's Journal

Wow, your tutor sounds like such an amazing person! Sounds like you were very lucky to have him as a tutor.

Well done for a good day yesterday! Like maleficent said, getting back on the horse is what it's all about. You can't let one bad day get you down. You're doing fab though, don't let anything discourage you.

Have another marvellous day!

I would join in the sports discussion, but I'm afraid I have no knowledge and no interest in the subject!! It drives my hubby nuts :D

You are doing great Cannon, and you definitely get to be an honorary Brit if you went to uni over here!!

Point, yea! We could crown you with your very own bowler hat and china tea cup... and union jack dressing gown, just like in LOST!! And some British Beef to never ever touch ever :D

*cough*

Either way, hope you have a marvellously marvellous day!

I actually liked Steak and Kidney Pie--I just didn't eat the Kidney. Actually I lucked out during my biggest stay in England. When I was in Oxford my landlady was a former editor for the English version of Better Homes and Gardens and when she left for a two week cruise her housekeeper's son stayed with us and cooked and he was Cordon Bleu educated. The worst thing about food in England was the lack of cold soda.

My trip is to Detroit, Toronto, and Toledo. I'm expecting a great time, but I don't expect to lose--I will endeavor not to gain however.

How can you replace the 7th inning stretch song? That is just un-American! I think you will probably lose weight on you trip. Not only are you thinking about what you are eating, but you will be moving a lot!

OH, I almost forgot!

GO SISTERS!!!

Hi Cannon,
Some days can be really tough, can't they?
Good for you for sticking to 1700!

I hope you have a great time on your trip :D

So today was tough for some reason and I had about 1700 calories, but I survived without binging

there's nothing wrong with that - it's still under what is probably suggested for the day...

Oh I was happy with the 1700. I lost 2 pants sizes a few years back on 2800 calories, but yesterday was just tough. I'm trying to not count calories so much as eat when I'm hungry and eat sensibly then. Usually I'm around 1500 calories and if I stay below 2000 I consider it a victory. Well yesterday whenever I would eat, my stomach would keep telling me "FEED ME!" an hour after eating. I was drinking a ton of water too. Today has already been easier :)

First off Cannon, may I just say how amazing cool your banner is! I'd love to be a part of the Fat Busters with a banner like that! I'll print it on a flag and wave it for you :D

Steak and kidney pie? Never tried it myself, and I don't eat red meat now, so probably won't. It's one of those bizarre British delicacy, like black pudding and liver and onion *ick!* Nothin' like good ol' Yorkshire puds though :p Ah, the taste of home!

I'm sorry you had a tough day. But you didn't go overboard, which is the main thing, and you said yourself below 2000 is a victory. Therefore, don't think of it as a bad day, or a day where things went wrong. And if you don't want to say it was right, then say that it's a step in the right direction.

Have a brilliant day!

I still don't get the warm soda thing? It must have just been one unusual family you were living with!! :D

That is a real achievement when you can have a tough day, but still manage to keep your cals to a good level. Your like me, you have an amount in mind (for me its 1700) but like you I don't mind if I go up to 2000.

.
a few years back, I spent about 8 weeks in one stretch right out side of London, in beautiful Sutton, surrey... When I left, I made the comment to someone that the only thing warm I encountered the entire trip was the ice.. (I have never been so cold anywherein my life - it was just so cold and damp - i could never warm up..) I was in a restaurant one night, and asked for a glass of ice water... the glass came to me with one ice cube in it.. I asked for more ice and thelook i got was lady, what are you talking about? at that point -I switched to guiness and gave up.. :D
