Actually, the valve was a very minor thing and it seems to have repaired itself. I had a sinus infection and that infection was caused by the valve between the small and large intestine being open. Sometimes I swear the chiropractor makes stuff up, but by treating the valve, my sinuses have really been clearing up. I can start eating fruit and veggies again too :)

And this is what I get for not reading the whole journal, silly me! Though I did wonder why eating fruit and veg would be a bad thing for the heart <- attempt to imply I'm not completely thick!
 
Well I just had dinner. I made a cheeseburger and I had Green Giant oven roasted potatoes. I then had about 125 calories worth of ice cream for desert. All in all I would guess I'm at about 1600 calories give or take an orange which I will have later today. Since I started my diet I think I've averaged about 1500 calories per day. According to fitday.com that's about 4,000 per day less than I burn. If that's the case I should be doing pretty well. I'll weigh in for the first time after my trip.
 
hey that sounds great. Thats the good thing about being as big boned as myself. out body is use to burning a bunch daily so when we short it it has to pull from someplace..........
 
OK, I slept late this morning which felt kind of nice. I was still up by 9:00 and I did use that snooze bar (another habit I'm trying to break), but it was fairly cool so it was good for sleep. No exercise today, but I've planned for that. I will walk again on Monday.

Lunch today was a half bagel topped with a can of tuna and slice of low far cheese broiled for 4 minutes. That's pretty filling without a lot of calories. I haven't decided what dinner will be yet, but I think this forum is a big help for me. When I feel like a snack I go here first a lot of the time.
 
cannon thats a good idea for lunch. I went shopping yesterday and the bagels were calling to me. Funny how they know your name lol. I tend to sleep through breakfast alot so no worries there. This is a good place to come when you get hungry. I find that it gets your busy enough to decide if you were hungry or just bored. Keep it up........
 
Dinner tonight was 2 skinless chicken breasts, a Green Giant Rice Medley and some Teryaki Sauce. I'm at under 1200 today so I probably need to get some grapes or something in me. Doing well with my Tuesday trip quickly approaching.
 
Well I liked that tuna bagel melt so much yesterday that I made another one today. I'm really busy getting ready for my trip so if I neglect some of your journals I apologize and will read them more diligently when I get back. I am sure that I have taken off about 10-12 pounds this week. I just hope not to blow it on my trip so that when I do finally weigh myself I will get to see my accomplishment
 
I think its kinda hard not being able to weigh yourself. Till you get the scale you hope your doing ok. By the way that your eating you will see positive results so dont worry there.It will just be nice to watch the numbers roll down.

I just read your journal, and I wanted to say that I think you're doing GREAT!!

The toasted morning bagel sounds like something I want to make :D

You're going to do fine on your trip - you have your goals in front of you and all your hard work this week behind you to remind you that a a few minutes of pleasure isn't worth it.

Take away memories - not pounds ;)

You are doing soooo well! Try not to speculate on how much you've lost just in case you weigh yourself on an inadvertent 'too much salt' day or something. As long as the number is decreasing, that's what's important. Slow and steady! You can do this!!!

Rofl :D . And I wouldn't feel guilty, how much of other people's time do you think he has wasted during his career!! And your line about please not calling because your wife doesn't like you talking to people ... hilarious.

My husband is a big fan of winding up cold callers. He will either say he has to change the baby, or he is just renting, but his favourite one is to say 'I'll just get him', and put the phone down on the table. He leaves them hanging on for ages. Terrible I know, but he's got a wicked streak!!:D

Anyway, back on topic :D , your doing great, keep up the good work!!

Don't worry so much about numbers... it's about how you're feeling... you're walking regularly and eating better so that'd gotta be making you feel better - the number on the scale-- well sometimes it's just a number... :)

Keep up the great work...
 
Hi Cannon, just read your diary and your goals for loss and time frame is totally realistic and healthy. Good for you!!! We all know that you can do it and we will be here for you.

I guess you are leaving on vacation tomorrow so have a fabulous time. And you've already got your plans for hitting the farmer's market and ethnic restaurants so you will do just fine. Bon voyage!!!

p.s. I adore your telemarketer story!!! Classic.
 
Thanks to everybody for all the support. It means a lot. Let's see. In the last 2 days I've had decent luck with food although two days ago I ate an entire small chicken chowmein. I have struggled a bit with the exercise, but that's probably because I've been staying up too late with the trip preparation. I will write to everybody when I get back. Enjoy the week!
