Can muscles get slightly firmer from cardiovascular endurance training?

I noticed that my muscles have gotten slightly firmer on my arms and chest, after only 3 weeks of jogging 2 miles, 6 days a week. Is this even possible, or am I most likely imagining it? If so, what is the reason?

I seriously doubt that is a product of your imagination lol
It could be that your body fat % has gotten lower due to the cardiovascular exercise, therefore "firmer" more noticeable muscles. I dont know bout the correlation of muscle growth with joggin, but it would make sense to notice slight changes, I mean Im sure I exercise that part of the body a bit when I run.

probably burning the soft fat on top of the muscles, showing more visible muscle and without the fat cushioning
