Can a straight guy get away with wearing leather pants?

Advice from a chick - leather pants are friggen hot. I used to date tons of guys wearing them, not gay ones. Be aware this was back in the 80s, but check out most modern rock stars, they still wear them.
Leather pants are hot. gay guys have a great sense of style, straight guys should really take a cue from them. Learn to do your hair nice, shave, bath, dress nicely etc!

You dont have to be gay to have good hygiene or dress nicely.
 
Hahah leathers/fake wet-look leathers are awsum - I love men in them (of all age). I'm 27 and def do not think ther an 80's thing...haha thanks to lady gaga - there still massively hot right now...for both men and women! tell that chic to suck it..haha if you like it...effing do it!

I wore mine recently - granted for a costume party..but I still wear them out clubbing can post a pic?. I want my fiancee in them! lol closest i get is making him dress combichrist style!

Seriously, ever watch "The Last Boyscout" ? Damon Wayans wears a pair of pretty normal looking NON rock starish leather pants. I think I could get away with that.

^^^ Here's your sign. If you appear to have a great sense of style then you will resemble gay guys...not that there's anything wrong with that.
 
The problem with leather pants is that you need a hell of an ass to pull it off. I'd love to get myself a pair, but the (back)view in the mirror is horrid. So I think that you should not be concerned about looking gay, but whether you look good in them altogether. If you think you do ... go ahead :)
 
Leather pants! Noooo way. I can't look at leather pants/trousers without laughing. I was in a friends car and she was speeding ever so slightly. This motorcycle police man pulled us over and good grief he looked like he'd poured himself into these tight bike leathers. It was VERY unattractive and he squeeked as he walked around the car. We were in fits of giggles which didn't help her case she got a fine and a 3 points on her licence. The noise his trousers made as he sat on his bike was horrific, we nearly wet ourselves laughing but trying to look serious.

The only other guy I've seen wearing leather was one of my friends who is gay, they were nice trousers in a deep deep red. I'd love a leather sofa in that colour :)

I don't like to say that this is a cause and effect situation, but it appears that Russell Brand (age 35), wearing leather pants here in this picture (and quite a number of other times), always seems to have a good looking lady on his arm...

Aha! But in searching for "Russell Brand" I noticed that in many pictures, he has ladies other than Katy Perry (prior to their wedding)...often times he has multiple ladies on his arms....

He's doing something right! Monster- you can out wear Russell Brand in leather pants any day! :hurray:

I'm pretty sure that has nothing to do with his leathery pantalones. I'm fairly certain it has a lot to do with his celebrity. Oh, and that really huge thing in his pants that every girl in the world would like to get their hands on.

If you want to wear leather pants, go for it. If someone thinks you're gay, just tell them that at least you have options and double your chances for a date. Who cares what anyone else thinks.

My wife and I were watching a TV show where a husband and wife were married 18 years and then discovered they were both gay. My wife was like, "I just don't understand how that could be" and I said, "I didn't want you to find out this way, but..." and I proceeded to try to convince her that I was.
