Camila's Comeback!

Nice work Camilla! Don't over do it. You can always adapt the workout so it's a bit easier at first. I suppose with a name like Insanity you don't expect tai chi. Good luk and keep it going!

Thank you, Quercus! It's taken a few days to figure out how to push myself while not pushing myself too hard. I think I am finally settling in. It is hard though when on the screen you see a whole gang of super fit, in-shape doing the workout. But even they collapse on the floor at times, lol!

Just finished Insanity Day 3...! That means I am a whopping 5% done lol. Today was cardio power and resistance. I actually really enjoyed the workout (even though it was tough). I am pleased that I even went ahead with doing it today...I'm home from work with a terrible cold. Didn't sleep last night, super congested, etc.

The best part is that my body seems to be getting a little better. I am still sore and aching but not even close to the extent that I was after the first two days. Really though my entire body is involved here.

Unfortunately, my food hasn't been impeccable today. I figure I will give myself a break since I'm pretty sick. Until this morning when I woke up sick as ever, I haven't had many cravings. I figure I can used a huge dose of healthy, so I'm going to heat up some of my dinner from last night...one of my favorite healthy recipes: head of chopped up cauliflower, italian sausage, and a red bell pepper.

I am so excited to take my measurements and hopefully see some results. I can't decide if I will do it weekly or bi-weekly in conjunction with the Fit Test...

Hope you are all well and have a great weekend!
Anyways, hope you

Day 4 complete! Today's workout was actually pretty enjoyable while still being challenging. It was Cardio Recovery day. Lots of deep stretching with long holds. I was proud of myself for actually being able to keep up with the case on the DVD for the most parts. Sometimes I had to break the holds a little early (The stretch was so intense I got lightheaded!). But I was mostly able to hang in there. Also for the first time, I found myself really engaging my "core". They talk about it so much on the DVD but I haven't really been able to engage it until today.

I can't wait until another week and a half or so when I can start working out at my boyfriend's where there is tons more space and nobody else around to worry about being too loud for :). He's also been great about supporting me doing this and helping me eat healthy. I honestly don't feel like I've lost any weight yet, but it's only day 4 so I'm not worried!

Food hasn't been great today. I need to get on top of it ASAP. Being sick is kind of throwing me off. Oh and it is snowing and freezing cold outside again...yay! :(

Overall though my body is feeling better and better. The first two days were complete resistance. I felt my body kind of screaming at me like, "how could you do this to me?!" Haha, but it's coming around for sure. Really happy to be doing this as the Olympics is starting too! I love watching all of the different competitions and athletes. It's amazing to me! And certainly inspiring!

Hope you are all well!

Wow! Camilla, I have to say I’m jealous! You’re doing Insanity, that’s crazy in a good way. I ended up having to stop the 30DS due to back pain. I just can’t do the jumping jacks anymore. It’s not worth it. I ended up going back to Taebo, but I’m doing the 30DS strength moves too. Just remember to take a break when your body needs it. This isn’t a race so if you need to skip a day or two to prevent injuries it’s totally acceptable. :)

Also, if/when you do decide to weigh in keep in mind that you will be putting more muscle on so you may not see a drastic drop on the scale. Rely more on your clothes and measurements. :)
