Man it's hard to imagine ice on the footpaths... It's been so hot here we've been swimming every second day!

Thank you everyone, I am really starting to see it in myself now, indeed... don't know if I'll still be 290 on Monday after today's festivities, but eh... it's Christmas. Hope you're all having a good one!

I was at my parents and without access to a computer so didn't really get a chance to record what I ate, suffice to say it was Christmas weekend and lots was consumed, leading to...

Weight GAINED this week: 2lbs

That's the spirit!!! Glad to see that small gain is not going to hold you back. Btw that pic is amazing! :hurray: You're should feel very proud of yourself going into the New Year. Keep at it :D

Just about! Had a really great time on New Year's Eve, hope you had a good one too.

Keeping my food diary went by the wayside last week, so I shall have to commemorate 27th December - 3rd January as 'The Lost Week' which in a sense is appropriate anyway since I somewhat corrected my slight gain of the week before and weighed in this morning at 290.4 lbs...

290.4 is ever so slightly over the revised target of 290 I set myself for New Year but on the positive side is still naerly 10 pounds less than I originally forecast when starting out in October, so nothing to turn my nose up at!

Thanks everyone for your support so far I wouldn't have got anywhere near this far without you, and you can be sure I'll be sticking around throughout 2011 :D

Thanks :D I'm definitely just going to forget about christmas/new year and get on with it, hehe.

Talkign of which, oh dear I went to the gym today and I think I overdid it a little... ran up a sweat with cardio then hit the weight resistance machines, overall for about an hour or so, felt great. Spent the last 15 minutes lifting dumbells, then all of a sudden I came over very dizzy and queasy, had to run into the changing rooms at which point I felt like I was about to fall unconcious! Very strange... but yeah, probably due to my lack of exertion in the last three weeks and then trying a bit too hard in one session. All part of the learning curve, feeling fine now I'm back home.

Nope I didn't get back to the gym after that... will probably go again this week though.

So... another week down, another few pounds to scratch off, yay (in fact, my best week yet!?) .

This was an interesting week for me, in that it's the first full week since I started this effort that I've not been in work! I had a week off so I was worried that it was going to be difficult to maintain the normal routine, but my fears were unfounded. I managed to get out and about every day and walk about the same distance I would if I was going to and from work, I even managed a rather intense (perhaps too intense) session at the gym midweek. What this week has done is opened up the world of walking to me even more- a change of scenery besides the same old road I walk up and down to work each day really made the time fly and I figured I could have gone on walking for another hour on top of the hour I did each time... so that's what I'm going to try and do every day this week. I've invested in a nifty looking pedometer, so starting with next week's entry I will include my steps per day in each 'exercise' section of my daily diary .

Monday 3rd January 2011 - 290.4lbs
