hey guys, just a quick update from me as I'm as busy as a busy thing and got a stinking cold to boot!!! Better to get it over and done with now though!
Ecky - my cravings have pretty much stopped - it didn't take that long at all. I'm not really thinking of chocolate any more (PHEW!) and actually overall my sweet tooth has diminished somewhat - just goes to show the effect of such things!
LOL Anna - "lolly pushers"!!!
Healthy Jess / Tigpuppy - yeah it was mad! But I hired a couple of girls from the after school kids care to come and do party games and help round up the children for food and stuff, so actually apart from the preparation and cost, it all went really smoothly - all I had to do was go round the parents with sandwiches and tea and coffee etc... and I actually got to talk to people!
Thanks Sunflower - the compliments were SUCH a boost. Particularly when I look back at pictures from last years party (when I thought I looked slimmer...which I did...but I still looked fat!). Now I'm looking curvey. One of my best friends who came to stay for the party was absolutely amazed by my new corporate photo thats just been taken and the difference from the old one (Ecky can attest to this!!) - wish I could post them here to show you all but I'm too anonymous for that! That has to be the biggest boost recently - looking 10 years younger
Day 11 of no chocolate! But I have been scoffing left over birthday cake...sigh...I only like the plain sponge so its 190 cals per serving, I take off all the icing and topping and just eat the plain cake...all in all probably 300 cals of cake per day for the last few days, but I've been eating soup at work etc... so my cals per day is still 1400-1500 - been keeping to a good breakfast (peanut butter on bagels....well worth the additional cals (350 cals) as it keeps me going all morning!, soup for lunch - 150 cals, maybe 100-200 cals of snacks in the morning or afternoon, so by the time I get home, I'm only 700-800 cals for the day, leaving plenty for dinner and cake!).
Not had any time or energy since sunday to do any exercise (but ran 5km and walked 2-3 miles then). Hovering at 182lbs but its TOM coming up and I usually go up a few lbs at this time and then dip back down again. Waist and legs definitely getting smaller even if the poundage isn't slipping massively. My trousers came back from the seamstress and the waist is tiny compared to the hips! Adios to size 16 soon!! My fingers are getting skinnier too - the ring I normally wear is getting too big again so will have to go on ebay and buy it in a size smaller! Luckily the company I got it from is still making them (I've already gone down a size...this will be my second time...but they aren't expensive). All my size 16 jeans that fit so skin tight and looked GOOD in the summer months are getting saggy baggy now even though it feels like I haven't lost much weight. Time to sell them on ebay methinks and splash out in the Next sale at christmas time! For the first time I can't WAIT to go shopping for the christmas drinks and parties that we have coming up! What a new concept!
What else? Few emails with Mr X, nothing x-citing (hahah) just professional stuff but the big meeting is coming up and I'm going to give him a call next week. I've been quite restrained actually and am not going to reply to his last email..I'll be the "first to end the email-conversation" rather than the one to try and draw it out. I'm pretty much spending the whole day at his offices on this meeting day as I have two or three other meetings scheduled in with them individually after the big one - the last one with X of course to round off the day nicely. Jeepers, I am going to have to look HAWT for this! I have bought some new shoes....like 4 inch stilletos in a shiny black pvc kind of material...they are smoking...and worn with a smart pair of suit trousers are just enough..."at first glance professional, at a closer look...oooh VA VA VOOOM!". Just got to make sure I can walk in them!
Work has been
so busy but going really well. I've been building links with Mr X's equivilents in another of their offices and having the connections with him has really helped smooth along the relationships. I can't believe I am getting a reputation nationally in my company and with our clients for being a specialist in this area - WOOHOO. Its exactly what I want to do. My boss is getting paranoid that X's boss might offer me a job hahahahaha.
Okay dokey, I'm off to work...have a nice day everyone!
